Ever since Marriott destroyed Starwood, it’s refreshing to see brands like Fairmont provide amazing personalized service. Tammy at the front desk salvaged our trip in Scottsdale after finding ourselves in a very undesirable Hyatt resort. Service at every level matched and even surpassed pre-Covid levels. What a great team.

Big place, but lots of choices

Family of four with 7 & 8 year old. We really enjoyed the various pools and the grounds. Especially the water slide pool in the morning, and the sand beach pool at night. Kids also went to the Kids Club once and wanted to go back again. We stayed in a Casita which we really enjoyed for the extra space. Resort is quite large and lots of walking. Food was good but as expected, quite pricy. Service at the pools was much faster if you order thru the waiter vs. walking up to the bar. Bottom line... We would have a tough time trying out a different place next trip as we liked this place so much. Would highly recommend to families and also for adults/couples as there was enough space and Adults only pools to accommodate everyone.

Every staff member encountered here was top notch. I had an immediate issues at check in, being given a room that was mistakenly marked as cleaned. Arrived to the room to a housekeeping cart in front of the door. Staff quickly assigned me another room and brought me new keys and escorted me there. Always greeted when moving about the property. Food options were good. Upon check out is where the couple issues came up. After a few days a couple of charges ($40 and $44.84) that weren’t on the final folio settled on my card. I called to inquire and was told the $40 was from the business center. Fine. I did have packages shipped for a conference. But never authorized a charge to my room, nor did I have to receive or return the packages to the business center. The second charge was for 2 waters and 2 Stellas from the mini bar. I did drink the waters that were out on the counter, but there was no tag or menu outlining the charge. I did not have the two Stellas, and didn’t even open the mini fridge during my stay. When I let the associate know this they directed me to someone to dispute the charge. Left a voicemail for a Greg or Craig 10 days ago with no return call. Four days ago called again and discussed the situation and was yet again directed to the same person. Left a voicemail that was yet to be returned. Small amount of money at hand here, but very unfortunate that a resort of his caliber seems unconcerned with incorrect guest charges.

We chose this resort because of the many restaurants and we didn’t plan on leaving the resort. Upon checking in, we were told that the restaurants were booked and we could not eat at them for our first 4 nights. We then had to order food to be delivered from an Uber. We took the food and sat at an outdoor bar and were rudely told to get up and leave. I said, but we paid to be at this resort, the manager told us it didn’t matter and we need to leave the bar since we brought our own food. I ended up talking to another manager the next day who I think just thought I was trying to get something free. Basically said, when you finally do get into one of our restaurants we will make sure your taken care of. Very disappointing for a place that costs $400-$800 a night. They “took” care of us by giving us $12 dollar dessert.

    A+ from beginning to end.

Just back from a Family vacation to Arizona. The Fairmont exceeded all of our hopes. The Concierge Raymond was exceptional. He helped guide a wonderful family vacation for a bunch of first timers to Arizona. The property is immaculate, and the restaurants wonderful. My family and I hope to return soon. Thank you
