It was a great week away with family and friends. We enjoyed our butler, Javier who always helped us with everything we needed and got us into restaurants by making reservations. The bartenders and wait staff were also very amazing. We enjoyed eating at the hibachi restaurant and had a great time interacting with the wait staff.

    One memorable trip but ....

I was a guest at TRS Turquesa Palledium on March of this year for the first time and my experience was not a greatest one, I was hesitated to book a second vacation but did so anyway, This time around my experience was shocking. Check-in: My biggest problem in my first visited was the Check-in but what a change this time. Miguel at the front desk welcome me back as he knew me from before with a smile and with a warm handshake, “Welcome to TRS”. What a change from my last experience; I was greeted like family and this stayed the same throughout the two weeks, whether it was good morning from the gardeners or the pool guys or a friendly smile and questions about your evening from the hostesses in the restaurants the waiters and an even warmer welcome from the management it all provided for a wonderful ambience on the island. My major issue was my food allergy to chocolate it took more than three days into my vacation for them to understand how important it was to keep far way from it. It started from the welcome tray of chocolate covered strawberries upon arrival after having checked-in and reviewing my allergies to flowers and Chocolate with Miguel. On another occasion my room serviced request for a chocolate free cheesecake, I love their cheesecake. They sent it not once but twice with chocolate as decoration on the plate. The most concerning was the episode at the Mexican restaurant; after having discussed the allergies with the hostess she spoke to the waiter and she suggested having a tres leches as a good option. When my meal was over and the dessert arrived not only did it arrived with a white chocolate figurine but the water explained that he was told about my allergy. Obviously I didn’t eat it but the frustration was overwhelming at this point. The waiters’ response was so cavalier and insensitive, I went back to my room with no apology and no dessert. I work in the Health care system; allergies are a very sensitive matter a life can be lost or hurt when we don’t pay attention to the seriousness of it. My words of advice for future patrons please pay attention to these matters ; Thank God I pay attention to my allergies ,and keep an eye on what I eat but to go on vacation trust the establishment and still need to reiterate matters over and over shouldn’t be. On the fourth day the Butlers Manager spoke to me re: the previous incidents. He explained that a card was created to display allergies; I don’t understand how effective a card will be in verbal confirmation wasn’t working either. I would like to add the more positive aspects of my vacations because it wasn’t all terrible. • Butler Service: Miguel my butlers from building 51. This young man did a phenomenal job of welcoming and getting me situated. From the moment he greeted me I knew that I was in great hands. He was friendly knowledgeable attentive and respectful. I received his cell number at the start, so he was just a text or a call away and when Miguel wasn't available Javier was so helpful and attentive as well. They really embraces the concept of “Excellence” when making me feel better about what was going on with my dietary needs and even escorted me on occasion to dinner to prevent future mishaps. A sense of safety and security was established. • Food: I have noted a few comments about the quality of the food and as one of the fussiest eaters you will ever meet I was not let down once (aside from the allergy issues) I obviously did not eat everything that was offered however I never went hungry always feeling quite full after every meal and in fact I started skipping the odd breakfast and lunches as I was worried about the amount of weight I would put on. A special shout out to Molina and Fabio Moreno at Capricho they took the time to acknowledge my allergies to chocolate. Their positive, willingness and friendly attitude shows their commitment to an excellent guest satisfaction. They are truly extra special persons who made my stay out-standing and safe. Fabio Moreno Supervisor of all restaurant’s apologies for all the miscommunication of my allergy and reaffirm that will not happened on his watch. Gave me his number to call him before getting to any restaurant and if I faced any new problems. He reestablished a sense of security in me • My ROOM: Loved loved loved my room, Amparo the Housekeeper was fantastic! The rooms were cleaned every day and she would do little things like put the hotel slippers by the bed for you! The rooms were spotless! It was always very cool and by 5:00 every day I was eager to get back to the room for the WHOOSH of cold air that greeted me when I opened the door. Plenty of storage space in dressers and closets. Comfy chaise lounge to read a book or even nap. Beds were a bit soft but nothing that kept me from sleeping well. Keep your air conditioning fan on and you should be able to sleep like a king… Awesome shower! And of course I can’t forget Moises, he kept a fully stocked my mini bar full of cold soda & bottled water. Overall my stay, in TRS Turquesa the staff is super friendly, and I would recommend this resort to anyone! They are always willing to go take the extra steps to ensure you had a good time. Book the trip and I promise you won't be disappointed! The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, at home and will always go out of their way to make sure my requests are taken care of. Service is fast and everyone always has a smile on their face. I will be returning, and this was one of my most memorable stays away from home. Even though we had the issues with my allergies, I’m looking at that as my chance to help educate and promote awareness Sincerely and Grateful, Carlos Silva Room 5139

This was hands-down the best trip I have ever had, and I have been plenty of places. The people and staff here are so friendly, and make you feel at home. They have become family, and have given us every comfort we could have ever asked for. My fiancé and I traveled with his parents and step-brother, and we each had separate rooms in different buildings, but the hotel managed to hVe us moved to the same building in the same row of swim-ups, which was above and beyond expectations. Randy, our butler, has officially become a member of our family. I HIGHLY recommend asking for Randy upon arrival, you will not be disappointed. Other highly recommended staff include our concierge, Providencia; our mini-bar guy, John Kevin (who we expect/hope to see as a concierge next year), our first bartender, Mario; Robinson at La Boheme and Helios restaurants, and Gilbert at El Dorado restaurant. We also loved our second pool bartender (we can’t remember his name as we called him DJ Khaled). As it was my fiancé’s first time out of the country, he was hesitant to come on this trip. As a self-declared beach-hater, he told me he would be bored by the second day here. However, within the first few hours on our first full day, he turned to me and said that 10 days would not be enough, and he wants to return for 2 weeks for our honeymoon. The Grand Palladium resort area is so large, it’s easy to get lost, but not in a bad way. Unless you plan on going on an excursion, there is no need to leave the resort. There is the spa, the beach, so many pools, a mini casino, and so much more! Our family enjoyed eating at the variety of restaurants, pool-hopping, going to the different bRs, watching shows, enjoying the white parties and foam parties, playing mini-golf, and my fiancé and I enjoyed a couples massage. Our favorite restaurants were El Dorado and Portofino, but I also highly recommend going to Sumpuori for a enjoyable and hilarious evening. I cannot speak more highly of the staff at TRS, as well as everyone at the Grand Palladium. There was so much to do, and so much to see! The spa was wonderful, and our concierge and Randy sneakily (but beautifully) set up a surprise romantic evening in our room with champagne, candles, and rose petals. Once again, I am overly impression by TRS Turquesa and the wonderful staff employed there. My fiancé and I will be returning soon for our honeymoon, or even earlier if possible.

    LOVE!!!
