Great stay/ only downside the kids waterpark was closed.

We have traveled as a group of 6 (2 families with kids). Although the hotel may not be the most modern, the service and food are great. We were disappointed that the hotel would during our stay would close the kid's section (this was the winning point when choosing a hotel as we were traveling with two boys, ages 4 and 5). The floating water park in the main pool wasn't exactly what I had imagined to be there, and this was definitely a low point of the stay. If we knew this would be the case when booking the holidays, we would choose another hotel that would offer a water park for kids. Nevertheless, the kids club was great, and we have used their service on a few occasions. The beach was great, and the main pool, too. The food was amazing, and overall, it was a great holiday.
Concern of safety hazard.

I went to the Grand Palladium with a group called Pickleball Getaway. I had a great time. The resort was five star in most ways. As I got off the shuttle upon arrival, I was looking forward in awe at the beautiful resort. I failed to see the black step onto the black marble and fell on my face sliding across the lobby. I did it twice during my stay. A member of our group fell, as well, and ended up in a wheelchair for the duration of her pickleball vacation. There is a very small warning sign that is insignificant. After my second fall, they did put down a rug, but it only covered a fraction of the grand entrance.
Family Vacation

The Good: Very nice resort. Food was good, hit or miss with the a la carte restaurants. Portifino was easily the best. Staff were great. Pool was awesome as was the beach. Wildlife! Jafet was amazing and a great help for when we first arrived! The not so good: Accessibility. If you have any mobility concerns be careful where you book. There are no elevators, so make sure you have a ground floor suite. Watch the bathrooms- the shower door does not seal and once the floor is wet it is easy to slip. Watch out in the lobbies, there are decorative ponds with no gates or warning signs, makes them very easy to walk right into them- especially at night. A potential hazard to everyone especially toddlers and people with poor eyesight. Comments/Suggestions All golf carts should carry a step stool. Maybe some kind of alert system for people waiting at the collection huts or a way to ask for a cart at a certain time.
Salmonella poisoning at the resort

The resort was lovely. Unfortunately, 4 days into our 8 day stay, my huband contracted salmonella. Our vacation was ruined. We contacted resort management by email, hoping we could get some compensation. They responded with an apology but nothing more. The severe illness my husband contracted was certainly caused by either the food or the water. Be careful of the food!
HORRIBLE

The meat quality was horrible and I enjoy eating meat. It was so bad I ate vegetarian. It took 4 hours to check in because they could not find us in the system and nothing was done to compensate us. We were VIP and paid everything weeks before our visit. Not worth the price. It is a beautiful resort but not worth it.
