Just got back from Selection Paraiso Lindo, my husband and I were very disappointed in overall vacation. Best way to explain just list pros and cons. Pros Ocean was beautiful of course. Beach was nice and clean they did take care of it very well, Maria was fantastic, friendly and very efficient with service for drinks. Our second room was very nice the wonderful ladies taking care of the rooms were very helpful and went above and beyond to help with our requests. It was great to have a Concierge in the building considering to get to a working lobby it was a good 1/2 mi or more away. Japanese restaurant was very good, even for my gluten free diet, really made my meal exceptional. Fun to watch and good food. Steak House was very good, really enjoyed first evening, 2nd evening a little inconsistent but still good food. Breakfast buffet was delicious, best food overall lots of variety to choose from Had massage on the beach down on other side of the "Grand" and it was amazing. Definitely recommend Had read reviews here before we left and best advice was to take a bottle or cup with you for drinking water on the beach. Bought a water at airport and used the large bottle for refilling water to carry to beach. Nice to have refillable glass bottles for the room didn't have to worry about water supply. The shuttle service between Maya and Lindo was great, drivers were always very friendly. Tips for all these hard workers were always appreciated. The entertainment group was pretty good. Shout out to "Coop" for looking out for the guests. Cons Where to begin, First of all, when we made all our reservation, we were told their would be special note made about a gluten free diet for me. Only at the Steak and Japanese restaurants did they even have a clue about " Gluten Free" and still wasn't something already notified about. Mexican Restaurant not much taste very limited to choices French Restaurant was awful, Couldn't even eat my meal Got sick from just the few bites I did eat, had nothing to due with Gluten, my husbands lobster meal was a lobster tail hollowed out with white fish in sauce. Italian restaurant, my husband loved his meal but got violently ill that night. Under the Sea, was okay not many sea food choices for but had awesome salads. Lunch options were very limited if you didn't like the Mexican or scared to eat the Italian ( which i did have some great gluten free pasta) then it was just the burger place on beach, The Buffett was only opened for breakfast which is crazy I have never seen a resort that the buffet was not open for all meals. Had trouble with the drinks, they were extremely sweet, plus how can you mess up a rum punch had to try multiple concoctions to finally get something drinkable. Bartenders were extremely helpful and really tried to remember your orders. Our first room, had a tub with a shower wand, which had no water pressure at all and you had to lean into the wall to even get water to hit you. We changed rooms then had multiple issues with the key cards till they finally changed the lock and still only had 1 card that would unlock the door. The first 2 days of our vacation we spent more time with the Concierges then we did on the beach. This resort has beautiful tile and mosaic all over, but be forewarned to bring shoes that work well on wet surfaces. Saw so many people slip and fall on the wet surfaces, and the management doesn't seem to take mind. They have cones set out but when the whole place is a slip hazard makes for tricking walking. If you want to have coffee in the am, your only option was to walk to buffet, no other place unless you wanted to walk to main lobby 1/2 mile away. Tropical storm went thru while we were there which they have no control over but they way they handle the beach afterwards was ridiculous people were packed in like sardines they have 5 resorts there and 30% capacity of all resorts packed into 1 section of the beach. I realize this is a special time and they are trying their best, but I had spoken with other guests and they were having the same issues we were. People go to the AI for the food and Drinks, and if you can't have good food its not worth it. Maybe in a different time, this resort would be phenomenal, its definitely huge and very beautiful, just lacking right now.

It was an amazing experience first time ever in Riviera Maya, Starting with the best greeting staff, our concierge Stephany was super friendly and helpful, Yenny from the spa was also amazing such a great masseur for a full relaxing experience, The shows at the theater were also fun to watch as well as the guest service always ready to assist you with Santiago. Last but not least thankful to discover for the first time all that iberostar has to offer thanks to Frank definitely made be sure to come back and be a member

We had a blast staying at the iberostar paraiso selection lindo. Although almost half of the resort was closed due to COVID19/low demand, there were still plenty of activities open and closed the huge pool area was a blessing in this September heat! We stayed in building 53 which is near the pools and would highly recommend people to stay there if tour like to use the pool and beach often. They had a good selection of restaurants open and food was pretty good. Stuff was very helpful and accommodating to our requests. This was our 1st time trying out an all inclusive property and is very happy with our experience. Kudos to iberostar stuffs to make our stay enjoyable.

    Great trip, food was okay

The resort itself was beautiful, well maintained throughout, the beach was clean and pristine. There was only About 30% capacity during our stay which worked out well for us. Every single one of the staff were phenomenal and really pleasant. The drink and drink servers in all areas were quick and plentiful. The Japanese hibachi was awesome. I loved that the apps were all served together so you could taste some things you might usually never try. Fried rice was the best we had had hibachi style. steakhouse was really good I didn’t care for the French resturant at all. But my daughter loved it. The Mexican resturant was a big disappointment We had lunch there the first day and chose not to come back for a dinner. Although a lot of the reviews I have read mention this. Italian and the the one next to it were also really good. The buffet was only opened for breakfast which was a disappoint as I would have liked to try the lunch there. Lunch on the beach was ehh I’m sure things will be much better when things go back to as normal as they can.
