We stayed at three all inclusive resorts in the area. The beach at this resort is amazing, variety of food is good, grounds are nice, availability for a covid test is awesome and only cost $20. It was VERY FRUSTRATING how much repetitive paperwork, logins, confirmations, validations needed to get the covid test but It was wonderful that it is done at the resort. Please make the covid paperwork process 10X simpler. The staff assisting with the helping get the covid tests were excellent and provided great service. They were working with a paperwork nightmare from upper management again. The management of this resort need to make some improvements. If I ran this resort I would have a serious meeting with the middle and upper management because they don't listen to reviews, their clients or properly train their staff. 1) Train your staff to be friendly. The staff seem sad or in general too grumpy. Pay your staff more or do something to help them feel better. 2) The front desk is disorganized and couldn't seem to answer simple questions. They should give us an explanation about things. Like when I check into a KOA campground at least. An explanation about anything would have avoided so much confusion for us. 3) MANAGEMENT LISTEN!! We struggled to stay connected to the internet because your system is trying to upsell us internet packages and want to confirm our requests. We gave up on the internet and just used our phones. The front desk told us it was our problem that we couldn't access the original email with our confirmation. We spent about an hour trying to figure out the internet and confirm an email they sent to an email we can't access. It's a joke! All the other resorts in Samana just let you login within seconds. 4) The upselling has to stop. We tried to go to a restaurant and we were told that we didn't stay enough nights to earn this privillege. We were told to go to the buffet. Another disappointment. Why not tell us this when we check in? Why upsell us when when pay for all inclusive? The other all-inclusives in Samana do not do this. We were in Samana for a week and planned to stay longer at this resort but with all the terrible service we went to another resort and had a great time. We were glad we could freely leave.

Beautiful Vacation Spot - Lacking in Guest Engagement

The resort itself is beautiful breath taking cannot deny the features of white sandy beaches and along with the newly renovated pool area. The food is also spot on, but its not enough to balance the lack of engagement. What they lack is the guest experience, not a fault of the staff as they are returning from hiatus of not working due to pandemic. On there busiest day Saturday, they decided to close the snack bar leaving guest with the option of only the buffet which is El Limon for the entirety of the whole compound. Then we find out that a section of the Buffet is also close due to cleaning, mind you this is Saturday in the peak of their operations Lunch period open only for 2hrs 1:00PM to 3:00PM. They give the reason of cleaning during 2hrs Lunch Time while we packed ourselves with other guest in the buffet area, talk about social distancing and Covid guidelines out the window. Sacrificing guest experience as well as safety of everyone on top of that guest are checking in for the weekend nowhere to eat since Snack Bar is closed and Buffet just closed there door in preparation for dinner service. Not sure who made the decision to close Snack Bar and closed down a section of Buffet area during peak operational business, it doesn’t make business sense nor is it fair for current guest safety and weary travelers coming in as they don’t have a place to grab a bite. I spoke to concierge guest service whose smart decision making was it to close down these area. You don’t have the guest experience in mind not the safety of everyone. Your closing areas down during peak lunch service when lunch service ends at 3:00PM thats means for the entire compound to eat within 2hrs time in a closed space and you have 4hrs downtime between Lunch and Dinner to do cleaning. If your gonna promote the resort as open please have the capacity to serve guest, as you open your door open area don’t close them. Doesn’t make sense to have more guest in such small spaces as your just asking to get closed down if someone contracted Covid in the resort. Entertainment is lacking as show is not daily only weekend, the animation team lack presence as they only stay in 1 area and not mingling in the crowd. It’s more of a hangout spot for animation team easy quick pay no effort at all. I’ve been to other Bahia Resort with bigger compound animation team are more active and do justice with minimal staffing, comparison to the team in this resort stay in the same palm tree day after day without any interaction not to mention their not friendly at all.

The resort is situated beautifully in Las Terrenas, Samana, Dom Republic. It's right on the beach, with the pool nearby. The beach has alot of seaweed in the water but the hotel cleans it up as best as they can. They have plenty of beach chairs with shade. The buffet is clean with many options. The service is also very good. We had a waitress named Yohania who took very good care of us. She anticipated what I wanted even before I asked for it. At the bar, we had another waitress named Alba who took good care of us at night. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we will return to this hotel again.

I went for my honeymoon for one week, including new year's night. From the very beginning at the front door Manuel was just the tip of the iceberg on a really good service. Our room was big and comfy, the TV gave us problem sometimes but we wouldn't mind. The food was always good and the service of the staff perfect. I would recommend that on some areas of the buffet to put 1 or 2 extra people to make the process faster. Italian and greek restaurant were good, congratulations to Ariel the waiter. He was our waiter on a romantic dinner we have on the beach and on the greek restaurant also, really helpful and kind. I won't remember that a day on the buffet my wife was feeling sick and he came with a water with gas and lemon to help her. The shows at night were really good also. The new year's celebration was perfect. Thank you also to Yipsy, Victor at the pool Bar and Jose on the other pool bar, Thank you!

Very nice hotel. They make everything to protect the guests against pandemic. They clean and disinfect everything all the time. All „anti-covid” rules are always in place. Service is very good and efficient, very nice and helpful staff. Very tasty food- lots of fish and seafood. Rooms are spacious and spacious. It is a pity that the hotel will be closed because of very few guest during the pandemic time.
