The the staff was eager to help me with any issues and made my experience such a pleasure. The staff assisted me me with plans for the day, and made necessary reservations as needed. The front desk called for a taxi and kept track of my plans. I know this is not needed by most clients, but insured that the hotel management was aware of my need to clarify information in case I became disoriented. I could call and share information and know that they would arrange for help. I was able to experience San Francisco independently and this turned into a trip of a lifetime.

    Amazing!!!

We were forced to travel home during the pandemic and wanted to do so in style. While calling around different hotels for a “viral deal”...I knew the Argonaut was the place. Not because of the great price but because of the front desk staff that answered. She was amazingly personable and caring. Upon our arrival my wife and I were treated extremely well. Extremely professional staff but with a very added personal touch. We felt like we were all in this together...a sort of compassion towards us as fellow humans. I don’t think our experience is just because of the pandemic. The personality of the staff is a reflection of management...and I have to say “hats off to you all”! If we ever find ourselves back in San Fransisco...we know there is only one place we will ever stay...the Argonaut!

    Nautical theme throughout, perfectly balanced.

Quirky Hotel. Attentive and very friendly staff. Concierge and valet were swift and cheerful. Restaurant and bar complimented our short stay needs. Lovely room views of Golden Gate Bridge and trams. Will revisit.

The hotel is just awesome. It's location at the end of Fisherman's Wharf makes it an ideal stay for tourists. The room was surprisingly large with a nice bathroom. The brick really adds character to the room. The lobby is really nice with a fireplace, nice chess board and other activities with drinks available from bar. The staff was very accommodating and everyone was really nice from the concierge to the door man to the valet parking attendant. Would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel offers bicycles to tour the city (part of resort fee). The hotel shares a building with the Golden Gate NRA museum, which is worth the walk through.

Stayed for a week at the beginning of March, but unfortunately I had to be rushed into hospital. I was in the critical care unit for 4 days and the family chose to move to the Courtyard by Marriott which was very close to the hospital. In the end we stayed in San Francisco 12 days. Now at home, in self isolation, due to the strictures of the Coronavirus pandemic.
