I can honestly say we have never had a better experience during regular vacations than we did at Serenity @ Coconut bay. From the beginning of this trip with Covid-19, like most, we were genuinely afraid to go anywhere. The hassle and stress to get flights and rooms and tests was just mind boggling. The entire staff at Serenity was amazing. From Zach the GM, Chris Chin, and everyone else on down they have gone out of their way to make us feel not only welcome, but literally like family being at home. Lez, Lee, and Delon at the bar helped us explore island drinks, because cooped up in a mask for 10 hours or more to get there you need to start at the bar! Being in the islands they have the standard fair, but myself and my wife fell in love with the Mango colada. Perfectly balanced, cold and refreshing, sweet and just perfect to make you forget about how long it took to get there. Lez took such good care of us during the day, letting us try different things, from getting a long beach iced tea frozen, to the Bob Marley. At night Lee's special and may other fine "sexy blender drinks" along with a superb selection of other mixed drinks both island style and standard island rum and coke basics, made the nights unforgettable and the entertainment kept us dancing and even a night trip into the pool... with our clothes on. That party atmosphere even had us literally dragging Mark Adams, clothes and all into the pool that night. In his professional defense my wife and another guest "may have" (totally did) pushed him in. Now what else do you do in an all inclusive luxury resort, after you have forgotten the long flight? You eat, that's what! Merista, Jekim, Tessa and the rest took care of our food needs, Chef Leo and his staff cooked amazing food. With only one restaurant to eat at these culinary specialists, made food to accommodate all peoples. One guest we met while we were there was a strict vegan and Zach, who is also vegan was in his moment to help the kitchen staff. She had to ask her fiancé several times to make sure she was eating vegan food and not being fooled. As for my food, EVERYTHING was amazing. The fresh catch of the day, the filet au poivre, adding this or that literally changing menu items to accommodate my whims, the Greathouse filled them all. The last night we were there another couple joined us for a special "local cuisine" family style dinner. The chef came out to the dinning room where we were seated and wanted us to try the handful of local dishes he had prepared, standing there beaming under his mask while we tried it all. I can honestly say curried goat wasn't on the list of things I thought I would eat but it was amazingly good. The attentive butler staff, Arshan, Ray, Quade, and Elie along with others took care of our every need. Quade, was our initial contact, and he greeted us at the opening of the car door, carried our bags to the room and set us up for relaxation. I honestly said to myself, what would I do with a butler? Well, quickly the butler cell phone that went straight to them, soon got a lot of use, making reservations asking for this or that , and I soon came to calling it the "Bat phone". These folks saw to it all, making dinner reservations, bringing us food to eat at midnight, and my favorite, my personal bottle of Glenlivet scotch for the room. This staff, was so attentive, that even on the day we were to leave, we needed one last trip out to the beach for some actual St. Lucian sand for a gift we had purchased for the nurse that helped with our Covid tests so we could take this amazing vacation. The staff knew what we needed as time was getting short, we stopped for lunch to eat before our nearly 12 hour trip back home, they went to the beach and collected sand for us. On this trip my wife had ear trouble from the flight and after seeing the doctor, onsite in our room, the fabulous staff sent Ray out to get her the prescription needed. Ray, made a trip to the pharmacy, and it was closed. He than went to the other pharmacy across town to get the prescription for her. Arshan on numerous occasions made multiple trips to our room to check on us, to make sure my wife was comfortable, to bring us anything our heart desired to make our stay memorable. If we could have we would have kidnapped Arshan to bring him with us, and in the day we have been home both my wife and I have missed him the most! So what did we do besides eat and drink? We went to the Marine reserve snorkeling area, where aside from getting there we don't have a lot of pictures. It was just as memorable and beautiful as the rest of our trip. There was also a sunset catamaran cruise that we were going to go on but due to the medical things we didn't make it. All who went said it was beautiful. One couple who were divers made it out to the downed WW2 bomber off the coast of the island by the Coconut beach. The country night band was great as a nightly activity, and we had more fun listening and dancing to them to take too many pictures of that but we did. Arshan also was in a conga line with my wife and another guest while getting the fun started, even if he wasn't ready to be dragged into it! With limited access and limited availability they kept doing everything in their power to keep us entertained. If we asked they did their best to accommodate and make it happen if they could! Linus down at the Surf Shack, was a joy as well as the rest of the staff. We went out in a kayak, and took pictures of the beautiful shoreline. I also do not want to forget the amazingly romantic cabana dinner poolside! This next bit of the story is NOT a complaint- In our plunge pool room, we had obviously the plunge pool on the deck. The first two nights we were in the pool and swam comfortably with the waterfall. The third day we needed a little maintenance to the pool, and the staff quickly saw to it. that night, I stick my hand in the waterfall, and I get a dull tingle in my hand and my wife felt it too. The whole system is 12 volts and it was harmless, and the staff that came down when we called, didn't feel the buzz and offered us a new room. We kept the one we had settled into, but the next night we felt it again. They came a second time offered us another room again, but again we stayed. Both nights they had tried several techniques to try to resolve the issue. Long story short, Arshan, at our request removed his shoes and after some coxing stuck his hand in the waterfall and was the first to feel it from the staff, and his reaction was priceless. "oh my gosh! WHAT WAS THAT!" Needless t say the electricians were down again and vowed to trace it all and they solved our problem. The staff definitely went above and beyond, and if it didn't take me so long to realize they weren't feeling it due to not being grounded to the pool, they would have fixed it faster. Long review short, we are here on the first week they are open after a 4-5 month layoff, and the service from everyone was phenomenal. If this was how they hit the ground running, I can only imagine the service would be at full staff! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. Our honeymoon during COVID-19 couldn't have been any better and we have made amazing memories and some friends that we miss so much being home while they are many states away. Covid did not stop our celebration of our life beginning together, and should not stop yours either. I say this resort is 6 stars (but they only let us rate 5) due to the constraints and having been off the clock for 5 months and still making it happen. We also had a chance to speak to Mark Adams, the CEO, (mentioned earlier in this review) who was there to see how things were going. Hands on, very involved and asked us what they could do better. We gave him our honest review, and he gave us his. Minor little things were corrected in minutes and special requests to make the stay even better were set up in hours. If this is how this company runs, it is 5 star from the top down. Mark, Zach, Chris, and the entire staff at Serenity, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! We will bring the many friends that have inquired where we were with us next time!!

    A little Serenity after Quarantine

How can you possibly sum up a first vacation post quarantine? If you’re visiting Coconut Bay, the only possible answer is... life is tough in paradise. And by tough I mean I am one small accommodation away from handcuffing myself to the Serenity pool and claiming asylum. Our stay began with Arshan. His smile beneath his mask...absolutely infectious (see what I did there?). He breathes life into everyone around him and I hope he never forgets me because I will never forget him. Every turn, he was there to make my stay bliss. There was one day that didn’t go well and that is only because I mourned him on his day off. I’d like to see videos from any other guest that he conga-lines with. It’s really difficult to put into words the work of Sadie, Ginel, and Tyler specifically. Multi-faceted Jills-Of-All-Trades, these ladies had our orders ready before we arrived, spoke to us by name, and most importantly, never shamed us for the amount of drinks we asked of them. From food to wine to cocktails to THE BEST ATTITUDES YOU WILL EVER FIND, I want to take a sliver of it home to rub off on my children. Liz and Lee...bartenders. Need I say more? But for real....you know life has not been easy on an island that survives with 75% tourism funding daily lives. But these two do not have any problem diving right back in after closure. It is no secret that with only a small portion of the resort reopening and with limited staff, that the best of the best have returned and these two are incredible for more than just delicious drinks. Shirley, Patrice, and Chewem: morning and evening housekeepers. Little notes wishing us a good day or a great night. Of course towel animals. Desperately want to pack the animals in my suitcase but PETA might protest. Thanks ladies for your hard work. The ENTIRE staff stands out for many more reasons. Every single person is friendly. Every person goes out of their way to not say no to requests. Even Jonathan is up in the trees knocking down coconuts to serve drinks in! I feel like a bowling/pool hybrid game on the pool deck with coconuts needs to be arranged. Any work or landscaping work was unobtrusive and clean. Angelo and Leo making dinner nightly and assuring us that calories were ever put in. Thank you also for the hot plates with every meal or snack. It was truly a really nice touch. Mark, Zach, and Chris: the men that make things better. They are like a bandaid or a kiss on a boo boo that you aren’t sure why it works but it just does. They are the “make it happen” guys and now they are family. So much so that Zach accommodated a strict vegan request with recipes from his own personal kitchen. Come to Kentucky and we’ll show you almost as good of a time! When you’re there you’re family also. This resort has it all. Nightly entertainment, including movie night outside at the pool deck on Thursdays after a day of arranged tours. It’s the perfect way to end a strenuous day of being totally and completely lazy. We even requested a local flavors dinner that they prepared especially for us including goat, ox tail, and jerk chicken. Chef Leo you outdid yourself. And check out the marketing genius behind the plastic (WASHED AND REUSED FOR CONSERVATION EFFORTS).... the indention on the back places the logo perfectly in front for photos. ???? Things are NOT perfect. This is THE FIRST WEEK of being open post Covid. They are doing everything they can to make things safe firstly. Masks, sanitizing towels at every meal, and social distancing on the pool deck/bars/restaurant. The second priority is the guests happiness. Any feedback that was given was encouraged and acted upon. Things will be a bit rocky for sometime as everyone figures out how the new normal will operate but it is with grace from both the resort and the guests that will make your vacation truly memorable. There is no place on the island that you will get the same attention to detail and commitment. The resort feels small and exclusive while also feeling like there are ALMOST no restrictions on what you’re allowed to do (right Arshan?). We cannot wait to come back in October when everything hopefully opens all the way. We’d love to bring our kids and see the rest of the resort (or at least the parts we didn’t already sneak to!). If anyone reads this from serenity, we enjoyed every minute. Reach out if you are ever in Kentucky!

Our honeymoon at Serenity at Coconut Bay exceeded our expectations. From the moment we landed in St. Lucia, we were greeted by professional butler service, and champagne! The staff knew our names upon arrival and showed us our private plunge pool suite that was incredible - it had a wet bar, private pool (that was huge for 2 people), hammock, nice sized room with a two person hot tub, and an outdoor shower. Angus, Quade, and Dez were our butlers during our trip and they were all very accommodating - we didn't lift a finger. The food service is incredible and everything was delicious especially the pizza and the St. Lucia Fish Burger. Housekeeping was perfect and they leave romantic touches after every visit - with towel creations and inspirational notes. Very nice touch. Privacy was very encouraged here and the room had a special room service door just for food if we wanted to be alone. Outside, the main pool was great and the adjacent cabanas and daybeds kept us soaking up the sun and enjoying paradise. The resort's main bar was exceptional and you can try all sorts of specialty drinks and the island's signature Piton beer. My favorite drink was the Dirty Banana - which is a must have when you visit the resort. We had an adventure filled itinerary that included daily excursions during our honeymoon such as a private island tour, a beach cabana day, couples massage, private cabana dinner, and a sunset jazz cruise. Each excursion was different and exciting and we were very pleased with each day. Overall, we will definitely be back for our 1 year anniversary trip and we recommend this spot to any couple looking to getaway.

We've traveled a lot and had great experiences as well as not so good experiences. Serenity at Coconut Bay not only met our expectations, but exceeded them in every way. From an easy and fast experience at the airport, total ease finding our transportation (we were in a car on the way to the resort in literally one minute of finding the kiosk) to the five minute drive. So nice not to have to travel another hour as with some places. We were met by Narissa, one of our three butlers, who were all spectacular and brought different personalities to our stay. The resort is small, which is wonderful, beautiful and our accommodation was superior. We were in the grand plunge pool butler suite and it was a private oasis! A large, private outdoor area with a gazebo, hammock, bar and shaded seating and a large plunge pool. The interior was very nicely appointed and comfortable. Everyone at Serenity is so friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make you happy! The food was wonderful, whether you went to the Great House, ordered room service or ordered at the bar/pool. We went to Coconut Bay for a few dinners and, while certainly very good, not quite as good as at Serenity. The entertainment at Serenity was diverse and quality performers. Quite frankly, we had a hard time pulling ourselves out of our private oasis! Along with Narissa, Yannic and Arshon were so wonderful! They made us feel so pampered. Ray and Lee at the pool bar and all smiles and a lot of fun. Patrice kept our room spotless and Rosie, our night attendant, left cards with inspirational quotes every evening. Just lovely. The grand romance package has a lot to offer. We particularly enjoyed the private cabana on the beach (on the Coconut Bay side). There was a cooler full of beverages and lunch was delivered. We didn't think we would enjoy that so much, but ended up staying all day! The romantic dinner at the pool cabana served by Nerissa was interesting. I've never had a fine dining experience half laying down. Excellent food and service. The half island tour was interesting, informative and fun. I don't think I'd do the mud bath again having done it once, but the botanical garden and the imploded volcano were great. Our driver pointed out native fruits and plants and answered our many questions about St. Lucia and its people. If you've been on a sunset cruise before (or many times), that could be skipped. The couples massage on our patio was perfect. A couple of notes: bring mosquito repellent. There will be some in your welcome basket but not enough. We weren't bothered until there was a soaking rain one night and then they all came out! Much like the Dominican, you can't really see them and they don't make noise like Midwestern US mosquitos. They sneak attack. For people not used to their bites, they are sort of painful as well as itchy (but not as bad as the Dominican). If you are in the grand suite, DO be careful of the step down from the bed/bath platform into the living area. It's all the same beautiful flooring, so until you develop muscle memory that there is a step down (or up depending on which way you are going), well, we almost crashed and burned a couple of times. It would ruin the aesthetic to put florescent tape but it would be nice if there was something that could distinguish the height difference. Don't be afraid to use your butler phone. I never wanted to be a bother, but again our butlers were so great that I got over it. There is so much more I could say. From the manager of Serenity smiling and engaging people as he walked through the resort, the lovely people, the beautiful surroundings. Truly, it was the most restful, wonderful vacation and I'm so glad we were able to do it before the Covid-19 pandemic. We have a rule about repeating locations since the few times we've done it, the second time paled in comparison to the first. I don't believe that would happen here and we will go back when we can.

My husband and I indulged in the Grand Romance package. Our highest compliments go to the staff. We found the butlers, managers, housecleaning, and food service personnel professional and lovely, even in light of the growing COVID-19 pandemic. The resort provided a lush and clean environment with abundant on-site activities. We partook in tennis, basketball, kayaking, beach drinking, petting animals, and water slides. Another important check that was met was a wide variety of high quality food and drink. Our stay was perfection and we would love to come back.
