This is not the typical Canadian Fairmont. It is from the 60s and needs a refresh. Service was great. The room was good, but, not the extras that is expected from a luxury brand. The bed was comfortable. WIFI was free and worked well for email. My room was on the 7th floor and faced the street, the noise from the street woke me up in the night. There are better places to stay in Winnipeg for the same price.

I stayed at the Fairmont in a two bed corner room while attending a family wedding in Winnipeg. The staff at the hotel are polite, friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable although an extra blanket would be nice. I was shocked to see the condition of the room. The carpet was stained in places, furniture was scuffed and nicked and there were scuff marks on the wall. When I tried to hang up my bath towel on the only available towel bar, it came away from the wall. As well, I found a hair in the bathtub. Not what I was expecting from a Fairmont brand hotel. This room needs to be refurbished before being put back in circulation.

“Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your Elton John Experience - we hope your stay is filled with sequins, sunglasses and memories to last a lifetime!” This sentiment was in a beautiful card that was waiting in our room along with a yellow brick & delectable cookies artfully arranged when we returned from the #farewellyellowbrickroad concert. Fantastic touch to a wonderful weekend concert experience. Thank you Fairmont!

Fairmont in Winnipeg is right on Portage & Main the hub of the city. Close to the Forks, ball park - nice hotel. Parking and traffic can be an issue on some day and times but otherwise recommend to all

Just stayed here for three nights on a suite. This is the worst Fairmont I have ever stayed at which is about Holiday Inn quality. The suite was basically two rooms with a connecting door. The bathrooms were tiny and housekeeping so so. Difficulty getting those tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles replenished. Also, the housekeeping was knocking at the door on one day despite the Do Not Disturb-sign. In-room dining was problematic too. The "royal" service agent couldn't quite understand my order because the phone's handset was broken. Ended up using Doordash delivery. Sad that Winnipeg needs to put up with this underperforming Fairmont.
