WestJet makes it simple to travel as a group.

Group flights only

You qualify for a group rate if you are booking a group of 10 or more guests (excluding lap held infants under 2 years of age) travelling together on the same flight and dates. WestJet offers a multitude of group bookings options for sports teams, schools, tour companies, corporations, weddings and friends and family trips.

WestJet groups offers exclusive benefits, including special group fares and dedicated service.

Benefits include:


  • Deferred payments – full payment is required 30 days prior to departure.

  • Seat assignments – seats are assigned with the primary objective of keeping the group together on board the aircraft.

  • Checked baggage – group bookings include 1 checked bag per guest (excluding lap held infants under 2 years of age).
  • Complimentary tickets – receive complimentary flight tickets based on the number of guests booked within the group. Complimentary tickets are still subject to taxes.

  • Complimentary name changes – change guest names up to 24 hours prior to departure.

WestJet groups frequently asked questions

For a WestJet Group quote, a minimum of 10 guests travelling on the same flight is required (excluding lap held infants under 2 years of age).

Lap held infants under 2 years of age will not be counted towards the total group number as they are not purchasing a seat.

We may request a holding fee to confirm your group.  All holding fees are refundable once final payment is received.

WestJet groups accepts a maximum of 2 payment cards.

No, group fares are only available on WestJet operated flights.

Group flight + hotel

Booking travel for vacation groups depends on the size of your group. Determine the number of adults (guests aged 19 years and older) and follow the corresponding next steps outlined below.

Please contact WestJet vacations via 1-877-737-7001 to book a vacation package for your group. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. MT 7 days / week.

Please contact your local travel agency to inquire about vacation packages that include both air and hotel for groups consisting of 10 or more adults (guests aged 19 and older).

How to qualify:


  • Request event travel a minimum of 90 days before the first date of travel, and up to a maximum of 330 days before travel.

  • Maximum event duration is seven days.
  • Please allow up to five business days from the time of inquiry to have a discount code set up. We will supply you with a discount code which can be given to your delegates to they will receive the special rate at the time of their booking.
