    1. Staff try their best and hotel itself are very nice. 2. The rules of the country at the time we went indicate that you have to stay quarantined for a little while until a second covid test is acquired. We came to find out that whole is 5 days after arrival!! We were also told that the rules require us to stay in the room the whole time during those We were not told this while booking a 7 night stay! 3. After being exhausted, we checked in for one night and are trying to get the rest of the trip cancelled! We offered to stay if they give us a room with a bigger pool and garden area so The kids can enjoy their stay. The lobby told me to reach out to the hilton directly or pay an extra $125 usd per night for the different room. They said they aren't authorized to "upgrade" us for free. I've already paid an arm and a leg to come here, and have to pay an arm and a leg for every meal or item here as I cannot leave to look for more reasonably priced restaurants! 4. I'm on the phone now with hilton customer service and have been on hold for 2 hours!! My patience had worn very thin. 5. After that hold I was told by hilton that my issue was with the government regulations and not the hotel and there is "nothing they can do." They said that even a complementary room change is at the discretion of the hotel itself and they cannot offer me anything as I booked through a third party service (JetBlue vacations). 6. During our stay, Jeff, one of the managers, tried to accommodate us as much as possible. He made the best out of a very bad situation for us. After arguing with him, he switched our room out to one with a larger backyard area. 7. After roughly 6 days of quarantine we finally got out of the room. You are only allowed on the beaches from 6AM to 9AM and from 3pm to 6pm at this time due to the country's covid restrictions. The Crane beach (the one in the hotel) had a large amount of seaweed on the beachfront. No chairs or umbrellas were provided to the guests. I ended up paying around $25usd one way for taxis to go to different beaches that were better kept. 8. On our 6th day when we were released from quarantine we asked the hotel for room service. They said their policy is that they don't enter a room until 24 hours after quarantine is completed????? We weren't quarantining for a positive test!!! We all tested negative twice!! When we expressed our discontent with anything they would offer us punch. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE

We had a longer stay on Barbados including a two weeks stay in The Crane. It´s one of the most beutiful resorts on the island. It has a perfect view on the Atlantic Ocean. In this resort you will feel isolated from the rest of the world, but if you want to discover the island, the concierge can assist you. "The Village" inside the resort itself worth to spend some days. You can fell in love with it´s picturesque buildings and good restaurants. The pool area will definetely entertain you. The Crane also offers a direct access via an elevator (and stairs) to the Crane Beach which is one of the best on the island considering the cliffs and the view. For swimming it is not ideal though due to the swells.

I lived at the Crane for about three and a half months. The entire staff made us feel at home and always put a smile on our faces. I've worked in the beauty industry for over a decade and can tell when people are genuine or not. The grounds are absolutely stunning with five different pools to enjoy. There are a few restaurants on the grounds. The food is delicious and service is great! My favorite breakfast at L'Azure was the flying fish breakfast. The flavors came together beautifully and the fish was seasoned and prepared perfectly. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. Asley Beckles was an amazing part of the team at the Crane. She always did an emaculaet job servicing our unit. We would chat and she would remember details of our conversation and check in on me later. I now consider her a friend. At times I had left out valuable items and they never once went missing. The housekeeping here is very trustworthy and ethical. Overall I highly recommend the Crane. It's easy to hop on the bus and head into town if you don't have a car. They also have taxi service too.

We had a group booking of 2 rooms. We cancelled due to covid and tried to get our refund, this was the worst experience of my life! Hotels.com receipts did not corresponded with the amount they actually took from our account. I tried to phone reservations it sounds like someone is half asleep and not interested! I sent over 40 emails to the reservation departments, ive now tracked down names (from this site!) of senior members to see if they can sort. Beware, if you are booking on the basis that you may need to cancel in covid times, dont expect your money back any time soon!

My wife and I had visited Barbados 4 times prior to this visit, and while each one was different and memorable, this time was absolutely PHENOMENAL! It’s our best experience yet and we’ve been talking about it to all our family and friends over the last few months. Staying at the Crane was a dream we always wanted to fulfill but when it came to experiencing the island, I’m quite certain without Ezra everything would have fallen flat! He was recommended to us by a Crane staff member to pick us up from the airport and when he showed up, he was dressed sharply (not that it matters to us but shows professionalism and mentality) and spoke very politely. Considering we visited during the pandemic, he offered us hand sanitizers prior to boarding the vehicle (which also told us safety was a priority of his), drove smoothly and offered good conversation. We expressed things we wanted to do after receiving negative COVID tests and it was then we discovered HE OFFERS TOURS - A scenic one and A Food Tour - our personal favorite! He is also very knowledgeable about the island in many aspects - history, tourist spots, local treasures and much more. It’s been 3 months since our visit and we still talk about that food tour! To us, Ezra is more than just a cab driver... he’s focused on elevating your experience even if its just through one drive with him. He waited on us during a private tour at Mount Gay Rum distillery even when we ask him to take some time for himself, made supermarket and Chefette runs on our behalf, and even arranged for someone else to drive us on a last minute date night when he couldn’t make it. He’s pretty much the go-to guy on the island. Everywhere we went, people knew him and said hello. I don’t know about but to us it made us feel secure knowing that someone with his reach and influence was in our corner looking to ensure we enjoyed every minute of our vacation. At the end of our stay we felt we had gained a friend in Ezra and genuinely don’t think we can visit Barbados ever again without Ezra taking us around. And as if it wasn’t already clear, I strongly recommend the food tour because you still get to see some very scenic places on the island and enjoy food you’ll never find/try on your own!
