There could have been many things different that would have made our stay better however I will chalk it up to the long weekend and too busy to really care. Rooms were noisy and firewood green and crap, everyone’s smoke detectors going off and smoke filling rooms. Rooms not sound proof. Prices for restaurant ridiculous.

Rooms very small and need upgrades. Worn carpet and banged up furniture. Noisy. Wet wood so fireplace didn’t work (super disappointing since this is the only reason I booked here). Beds are comfy though. Try elsewhere.

The rooms and service were great. The check in process took a really long time. The food quality for breakfast was mediocre. The other meals we had were very good and the service in the restaurant was great. Make sure you reserve everything you want to do including the hot tub a head of time.

Stayed here for the long weekend and had the renovated suite so we could eat in room as much as possible. Pots and basic cutlery/knives provided. Mini fridge is nice but no freezer (nbd just a note). Wood burning fire is always nice and the bathroom was great. Water pressure not great but more eco friendly. No shelf in the shower though so that would be a bonus if a shelf or niche was added. Check in was pushed a couple of hours but were compensated with a discount on our room. Staff were great to us. Hot tub was alright but jets were not in working order so it was more just a warm bath haha. Would definitely stay here, saw plenty of deer up on the hill. VERY close to middle of town (4 min drive, 15 min walk) but so quiet.

After a disappointing visit and review in October, I reached out to BML about a possible weekend getaway in April. I was contacted by Renee, who was wonderful! Due to our previous experience we were given a reduced rate on one of the newly renovated suite. Renee also personally contacted the chef to make sure that there would be vegetarian options for room service. When we arrived last weekend, we found a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting in our suite, which was clean and cozy. Upon calling, the restaurant already knew about our diet limitations and the chef prepared an excellent pasta dish with loads of roasted vegetables which went great with the wine. Overall, great stay. Cheers to Renee and her excellent staff. We will definitely be back!
