    Great Location...Some work to bring up to Marriott Standards

    We stayed here for a week in March. The hotel setting is impressive, as others have noted. Having three pools was great and let the guests spread out. We had a marina suite so watching the boats pull in and out was its own entertainment. The lobby and common areas were of a luxury hotel level but our room was not. It was spacious and had its own balcony. Furniture was somewhat dated and worn. We called ahead to make sure that the kitchen was an actual working kitchen. We were assured that it was. Although it was full size, it lacked the necessary cookware, and utensils. The coffeepot was a small one cup portable size. There was one very scratched pan in which to cook. These need to be upgraded if they are offering a full usable kitchen. The staff was quite nice, but most of housekeeping spoke no english. Our room was not serviced through the week, except for one day. They simply refreshed the towels and emptied the garbage. The floor was quite dirty upon arrival and we asked for it to be washed. It was never done. As others have noted, there is nothing gained for the $40 resort fee, except free parking. This could be a fantastic hotel with some adjustments. Hopefully Marriott (who bought Westin) is working with this property management to bring it up to the potential that it has.

    upon arrival couch was dirty. I CALLED management. House cleaning removed coutions from the couch and replaced them with ones from an ajoning room. Coffee pot was small and did not work properly.The condo was not as deep cleaned as I would preferred. Price was way high for what we experienced in accomodations. Would never stay at this hotel again.

    Very nice hotel. They have a free water taxi to Fort Myers Beach once per day. at the very southern tip of cape coral and are right on the marina. Beautiful yachts. Good restaurants on the premises although maybe a bit pricey. I wish they had a microwave in the room though. Only a refrigerator in the room. We were on the 13th floor so a bit breezy when leaving the room and our view overlooked the mangrove trees. Self parking in the garage right next top the hotel. Overall a very good experience.

    I see the mixed reviews and can only describe our experience which was excellent. We are platinum elite and stayed on points. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3000sq ft apartment on the 10th floor with awesome views from a giant and comfortable screened in porch. Everything was above and beyond. We were there in February and hotel seemed a but quiet, but we were treated extremely well and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is away from the hubbub areas of Ft Meyers which we liked. The marina offers very pleasant walks around on a boardwalk. There is a small strip of shops with lively bar, coffee shop, ice cream shop and whatnot. We did not mind the short drive to Cape Coral restaurants or up to Edison/Ford area. A huge parking garage made return parking super easy. Overall we had an excellent stay.

    I just left a three night stay at this hotel and I was extremely disappointed. I believed the Westin brand to have the same standards in all its locations, not this one. First, the hotel is kind-of off the beaten path with not a lot to do around it. There is a marina directly in front of it, but it’s small and not much action. Since there isn’t anything around except houses and some condos, there wasn’t anywhere to get snacks or coffee. The hotel has only a restaurant and a bar, which I didn’t think was very good. No coffee counter, no place to get fresh snacks. They have a tiny “sundries” kiosk with chips, candy and a few bottled drinks. No service at the pool and no free water except from a drinking fountain. If you want food/drinks, you have to walk over to the restaurant bar. Not a horrible scenario, but a few other quick options would have been nice. The common areas of the hotel were fine, clean and basic-friendly hotel staff. Our room was another situation. As other reviews have mentioned, the amount of dusty funk around the baseboards and corners of the bathroom were gross. The bathroom vanity was old and resembled a 20 year old apartment. The mirror’s silver backing was pealing off all around. The furniture in the room was dated with very little extra areas for your stuff. No side chair or table and had a tiny desk. I used a piece of the balcony furniture for some of my luggage. Tiny awkward closet next to the bed with mirrors, but hard to see yourself with the bed in the way. I did notice a lot of customers were staying there for baseball spring training-so this might be a good location if that’s the reason for your visit. There are two other restaurants in the marina area that were pretty good-highly recommend Gather for dinner and drinks. The main reason for my bad review is that this is a “resort” hotel, without the resort options. Again, no coffee bar, no alternate breakfast foods, no beverage/food service at the pool. No free water station in the lobby or pool.
