Hacienda Encantada resort was outstanding. Our family with four kids (ages 10-17) had a great time at the resort. The rooms were great. The food options were excellent, and very high quality! We were able to easily make dinner reservations and get into the restaurants that we wanted to eat at. We saw whales swimming by the hotel every morning at breakfast. There were several great pools and activities that our kids enjoyed. The rooftop pool at Vista has spectacular views. The chipping and putting golf course was fun and challenging. My wife enjoyed the spa and we really loved the Temazcal experience, which was really unique. Our snorkeling excursion was fun for the whole family. We even got luck enough to have two humpback whales swim directly under our boat. The whole resort was modern, clean, safe, and well taken care of. The staff, especially Manny at the Concierge desk, were outstanding. They were always going above and beyond to help make our stay outstanding! It was a really enjoyable and relaxing week for us. Our kids will definitely be talking about this vacation for a while! We would definitely come back for another stay!

The property and staff are 5 star but the housekeeping needs some help. The rooms were dusty in the areas that were not obvious for cleaning. The carpets were never vacuumed in the week we stayed. Most of the pools were great except the rooftop pool that was filled with black algae and was really dirty. I mentioned this to the front desk and they obviously knew but did nothing to correct it as that would mean draining the pool. The restaurants were all good but the Mexican specialty one was best. Overall we would come back as the upgraded all inclusive is a good deal. At the adult pool Gerardo was delightful and deserving of our praise.

The staff are friendly. The staff for presentations when they want you to do the timeshare are more pushy and rude. Especially if you don’t want to buy they get upset. But overall the rooms are nice. TVs could be bigger and upgraded to smart. The lay out was nice. We stayed for 3 nights. The food takes awhile to receive after ordering so don’t go waiting until starving. Room service not included it’s an extra charge so you have to get up and walk around unless you don’t mind spending more money. Drinks tasty. The sewers are seen and smelt. Our room smelt pretty bad from the sewers. 2359. We asked for a crib and given to us for free. I came here cause of the cute water park for my kids. They enjoyed it. Overall I liked it but their restaurant system was a bit annoying. We had to sign our receipts every time after meals and drinks.
