We traveled with a group of 3 couples. When you check in they take your temperature and sanitize your suitcases and backpacks very clean. Check in was a breeze, the hotel rooms were beautiful, AC worked really good and they were very clean. Hotel Manager Shane Bacon answered all our questions and was able to book travel to and from the hotel. He gave us some really good advise on where to shop and where to go sight seeing. He was very professional and helped us tremendously throughout our 1 week stay. Hotel is literally in the middle of everything we can walk or take a "Pulmonias" (golf cart taxi) anywhere we wanted it was a great location. Hotel pools and hotel grounds were immaculate, plenty of space to roam around and very beautiful. A must do was the "Cenote' cave pool and the Jacuzzi above the bar pool great view. We did the all inclusive and all the restaurants and buffets were very good and clean. My favorite restaurant was Georgina's. Best shrimp Fettuccine hands down. All in all it was a great vacation we felt really safe and secure. I will definitely be back .

    Disappointed in the Hotel

We stayed at the hotel for a week and chose it based off the review from Tripadvisor and the hotels own website. We've stayed in other all inclusive resorts and have liked the concept and therefore chose this hotel based off the reviews. Staff were pleasant and wore masks, but we really dislike the hand sanitizer being forced on us constantly, since there are reports that many hand sanitizers are unhealthy for you. Most buildings couldn't be entered unless you agreed to use their sanitizer. Pros: 1) pools were pretty and the water was warm, 2) staff were usually pleasant and friendly, 3) located in a populated area of shops and restaurants, 4) Casa Robertos and Geroginis had the best food at the hotel. Cons: 1) the buffet food was awful and the menus advertised food that they didn't even offer (i.e. omelets for breakfast or fish/shrimp tacos for lunch or dinner) and if you arrived in the later part of the breakfast or dinner hours, they wouldn't put out more food, example one day they only had hot dogs and a few taco fillings available; 2) dinner reservations were required and had to be made daily at 9am in person, it was an unfair system as we tried 6 times and only got reservations 3 times; 3) the hotel advertised 2/3 occupancy which seemed impossible with the crowds and bus loads of people (the day we arrived, three full tour buses arrived and it took over 30 minutes to check-in); 4) pool crowds and buffet seating were ridiculously full and we could hardly ever find an open seat in any of the beach chairs; 5) we paid for a 2 bed layout and were given an older 1 bed layout with a water leak (much smaller), only after calling to complain did they move us to a new room, unfortunately it was next to the kids play area and we had no kids and weren't able to use our patio since the lifeguard used it daily to sit in and leave his belongings; 6) kids were everywhere with their flotation devices, which the hotel site stated weren't going to be allowed and some kids even sat at the hotel pool bar, which seemed highly inappropriate; 7) shows were advertised, but the only did 3/week, 8) most restaurants were only open 2-3 times during the week. We don't feel like it was fair to advertise fewer crowds (when there were lines and no social distancing everywhere at the hotel), restaurant choices (when only a select few could eat there every day), and a gym, game area, volleyball, and spa (all of which were closed). At this point, we don't ever want to return and would be thrilled with any kind of reimbursement.

    Made a mistake-should’ve chosen a different hotel

This hotel was chosen for the reviews on Trip Advisor and the information in the hotel site, all the photos that were posted looked good. First off, the hotel was extremely crowded, people arrived in bus loads and the buffet and pools were packed. The only COVID precautions were wearing masks, squirting hand sanitizer on you constantly, and checking for fevers (ave temps recorded were 97-98 degrees, seems like they were inaccurate reads). Positives: 1) pools were nice, 2) Casa Roberto and Georginis had the best food at the hotel, 3) hotel is located on the beach, 4) staff were nice. Negatives: 1) we were given an old single bed room, but paid for a larger two bed room (we wanted the extra space) and had to argue to get moved, then we were put next to the kids play area (though we don’t have kids) where we couldn’t use our patio because the life guard used it as a seating area daily, 2) the buffet was horrible with such a limited selection of food and the menus posted at the buffet advertised food that didn’t exist (i.e. said they had fish and shrimp tacos, but the seafood day only served fish), plus if they run out of food they don’t replace it-one night the only thing left were hot dogs and fruit, your other option was you had to make a daily reservation for dinner at 9am and we only managed to get 3 out of 6 nights reserved due to them ‘running out of space,’ 3) ‘adult only’ pool areas were still full of kids, including kids sitting at the pool bars, hotel said no flotation devices to prevent COVID but there were dozens in every pool, 4) no social distancing in lines and no limit to the people in pool areas. Taxis and other transit by the hotel were not always honest, ex. driver 7293 overcharged us and still pressured us into wanting a tip, 5) when it rained, several areas were flooded with water, 6) gym and spa we’re closed. In summary, do more research on your hotels and don’t trust everything on the hotel websites. The hotel site said 2/3 occupancy, but it was packed with people at the buffet, in pools, and they ran out of reservations. Food photos show the difference in the buffet vs getting a reservation.
