A 5-star experience curated with wellness in mind

My wife and I traveled to Zoetry with another couple to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and delighted in a 5-star experience perfectly curated to meet our wellness and self-care needs. Zoetry at Montego Bay is not just another "hotel on the water" or party resort, but rather a quiet and intimate vista where every guest is made to feel like they are the most important person there. Everything is contained and connected and takes no time at all to navigate. Guest service and excursion experts are literally steps away from the lobby bar called Harmony, which is just around the corner from a coffee/pastry nook called Cocoa Cafe, which is just below an English-inspired pub called Polo. Down the steps from Polo is the resort's main restaurant, Coyaba (which features a different menu each day), the pool with roaming butler service and a Mediterranean restaurant called Canoa, and a private beach featuring Jerky Jo's, the seaside eatery specializing in jerk chicken, pork and Red Stripe beer ... Paradise? No problem. And we hope to become regulars.

Overall, we had a great stay at Zoetry. The setting is beautiful; right on the beach with great views out to the water from all over the property. The small size is really appealing; we aren't fans of large hotels. The best part of our stay was the staff. They are truly some of the nicest people. The front desk and lobby staff were all incredibly helpful, cheerful and attentive as was the housekeeping staff. In particular, I would like to acknowledge the following staff members who always went above and beyond. Patricia who worked on the beach was always there with a big smile and excellent service. We met a remarkable man, Alwayne at the restaurant who was so kind.. We found out that he had actually made the special grouper entree for the night and that he was really interested in honing his cooking skills. He is well on his way ! And finally, we had the best interactions at the beach with Fresh. Always smiling and helpful. What a great young man with a very bright future ahead of him. It's too bad the property doesn't meet the same standards as it's staff. The rooms are a little tired and the property overall needs a facelift. The landscaping is dreary and needs help. The poor koi fish need clean water :( We didn't mind the plane traffic; There were only a few flights in the afternoon. The food was fine and the menu could use a revamp and maybe focus more on fresh fish and local dishes. We had great visit and again it was the staff that made it for us !
Nice, Not for everyone

We paid extra for the additional staff service but, halfway through our stay our guy left his shift after we gave him a sustancial amount in gratuity “that was also already included in the price of our reservation fee”. The staff expect large tips even though the taxes and gratuities are “already included in the reservation fee as part of all inclusive” $3 or $5 Tips in US dollars do not do get you the service you expect from an all inclusive. You must pay in addition $10 or more dollars to be notice. The serving staff are not very good at engaging with the guests.
Be selfish

Zoetry is just what I was looking for. It's not too "lit" and provides an intimate, quaint setting that allows an enlightened connection. Its location is nestled in a cluster of great hotels, but as an all-inclusive, there's no reason to venture out. My room had a tub on the balcony, providing privacy for some well-needed adult time. I sank myself in a bath several times during my stay while overlooking the majestic view of the ocean. The staff was amazing and hospitable. I was provided the opportunity to fall in love literally. This, hands down, was one of the best times I've had in forever. Zoetry is uniquely different
Enjoyed the stay enough but also a bit disappointed at the old feel of the property

We spent 1 week at this location. This is a small resort with 49 rooms from what I was told. So, if you are looking for a quite place and relax, this could be your place. We enjoyed the quite and peacefulness of the place. Food was good/better compared to other all inclusive that we have been to. People are nice. I would like to give a shout out to a few people, Akeeina, who took care oof us at the beach, Sheldon our butler who texted us the menu each night, Fresh who is responsible for entertainment but will leave you alone if you just want to chill. He also spent a lot of time talking to us about Jamaica and finally Delano who drove us to a few places when we booked a private tour for the day. He spent so much time telling us about Jamaica. IF we didn't book the tour, we would have missed out on all the info. Now the not so good. The A/C in the room was not working as well, while it does keep the room cool enough, it didn't remove the moisture so it feel humid. The curtain didn't close well and because we are on the ground floor, we have to overlap them and put something to hold them in place. Overall, the property looks a bit old and tired.
