My stay was decent. Not really worth the money if you are traveling solo, but if you’re with a second person and can share the $300/night room, it makes sense for a quick stay in a pinch. However, the bed sheets were very thin and amenities on the lower end. Shower curtains had dirt which seems like a good cleaning would get rid of. A little more attention to cleanliness would be great.

We stayed here for 4 nights during the first week of March. This was our first stay on Universal property. We have stayed at Disney hotels multiple times in the past. This hotel's theme is great. We loved the architecture, decor, oldies music in the cafeteria, etc. Our room was ready for us when we arrived before 9 am, which was truly appreciated. The cafeteria's prices were very reasonable. We spent a lot of time in the lazy river (which closes at 9:30 this time of year). We also used the pool and hot tub near the lazy river (both of which stay open until 10). The pool and lazy river are both heated and very comfortable even after dark. There is a sandy "beach" area too. We brought our own pool tubes and there is a self-service air pump to fill them, but if I come again (and I hope I do) I'll just buy them there since prices were very reasonable. We were in a tower room with no particular view to speak of. If the window had opened, I think we could have gone through it basically right into Volcano Bay. Busses were always there and waiting when we got to the stop at both the hotel and City Walk. We had to check out at 11, but didn't leave until 12, so they held our bags for us at luggage services. They also were kind enough to print our boarding passes. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. For example, the woman who printed our park tickets (I couldn't get the self-service kiosk to work), advised me to take photos of them, which ended up being priceless advice on our last day in the park when my youngest realized she had forgotten her ticket while we were entering during early admission (which is included in your hotel stay and saved us a ton of time in line). We also received a full set of fresh towels, soaps, shampoo, and conditioner daily. You can also request a wake up call from a variety of Universal characters daily. Our fave was King Kong (he just growls at you), but Betty Boop was also fun. My two teens straight up begged me to stay here longer and are already trying to get me to agree to another visit, so I feel confident that we'll be back.
