i attended a convention here and the facilities were fantastic !! the best yet - we have had 10 conventions now, this location far exceeded others. My only gripe was that the bar closed early. Mass catering food on site was good to say the least. staff were the most helpful and polite I've come across anywhere in the USA - and that includes DISNEY..

Really weak for a luxury expensive hotel

I was so disappointed in this hotel as usually Hyatts are much better. The room was big but appeared run down although the bed was comfy. But the service/amenities were terrible. The in room and hotel restaurant coffee were terrible. I had almost no hangars in my closet. I called for room service for lunch and was told that there was no room service delivery after 11:30 am. What?? No room service for the lunch hour? I asked if I could pick up my own lunch at 11:25 am and they said no. Ultimately, I asked the concierge to pick it up and it was delivered at 11:50 as I originally wanted and by room service. What? The room service and restaurant menu are very limited and weak. They refused to allow a friend to bill room service to her room but have the food delivered to my room. The WiFi was hard to access and kept kicking me out. I ultimately ended up using my own mifi. I wanted to work out after I had to check out (only 30 minute late check out allowed) because my flight was much later and was told there was no where I the hotel I could take a shower and if I wanted to shower in the spa I had to pay the $30 daily spa fee (they would have to check if I could even use the spa as I would no longer be a guest) (a friend was told the same thing when he just wanted to use the jacuzzi after his work out). The very expensive $200 facial I had was mediocre at best—just going through the motions. And of course, everything was really pricey, which I don’t really mind paying if you really are at a luxury hotel. There was more issues but enough said. This is not a luxury hotel. Save your money and try a bargain hotel. You get the same thing for 1/3 the price.

Hotel is good. Staff is genuine. If you are booking this place for the pool, consider the time of year. We did not and you really cannot use the pool when it’s 55 degrees outside. The grounds are nicely kept. Again, unless you can use the pool, the price is a tad on the high side. FYI. The club level upgrade is worth it. Good food, better dessert and peaceful.

    Hyatt Gainey Ranch didn't disappoint!

I just got back from a 3 night stay at this resort. We were a group of 7, staying in 3 rooms. The rooms were nicely renovated, with lots of space and the bed was comfy. There was so much space in the room it could have used another chair or two, but overall was really the nice. The shower was great!! We ate at the restaurant for breakfast each day and the food was fabulous! By the pool we had lunch and ordered drinks, and while not cheap, the food was delicious and drinks great! There is a market on properly that has coffee, snacks and ice cream that we went to each morning. Prices there were reasonable, and it was nice to grab a coffee and then walk around. The pool area is gorgeous, lots of places to sit, with options for shade or sun. Many pools to choose from, and a hot tub which was nice since the weather was a little chilly. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully landscaped, and there were some games (ping pong and bean bag toss) by the pool area along with a park for kids. The waterside is very fast!! LOL. The staff were all very friendly, I requested extra pillows and a robe to my room and they were brought up very quickly. Overall a fantastic stay!!

Putting the air quotes in “resort”

Thoroughly meh. Many of the amenities were non-functional during our stay—game room closed for half our stay, bike tires flat, water slide not opened during posted hours, no ping pong balls for tables. Not exactly sure what the $40 resort fee was supposed to apply to. In addition housekeeping staff lounged in the hallway all day without cleaning any rooms. Still, an Ok stay for a “resort.”
