It was our first time coming to this resort. We dont know what to expect, but we are blown away how massive this resort is, and well taken care of. We love the garden, the vegetation and the beautiful beach. Meat is our favorite restaurant We would like to thank Marco at the front desk lobby. He was very helpful and accomodationg. He needs a raise. Haha

I spent fourteen days in 85 building by lobby with a King Bed, walk in shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Air con was flawless ... view was onto lobby. Room cleaning lady was amazing throughout my stay. An awesome girl who was genuinely nice to me. I ate mostly at the buffet. I ate seafood everyday. Staff was super amazing. A suggestion to the soup chef. Turn up the heat on the pot ?? and put soup spoons by station. The cake spoons just don't hit the lips right. I mean good soup but ?? ?? Gracias. Pool & staff. A shout out to Christopher ... great guy who worked tirelessly. Bravo Chris ?? all the staff works hard to make your stay enjoyable. Pool was always shocked & Pool deck was spotless every morning because of the their hard work at night. I won Bingo during one night's entertainment. N 42 got me to yell, BINGO moocho gracias for the coffee & bottle of booze. The grounds are impeccably maintained by the gardeners. Bravo for your hard work. Lobby Staff Great service always. Gracias. I've been to the Dominican Republic sixteen times, and I know if I come again, this resort is where I will book. Hasta luego ??

It really is a beautiful place to visit. One of the best beaches overall, white powder sand, just enough surf, and the water color and temperature are all idyllic. The facility is more than adequate, rooms are large and clean, pools are well kept and at times relaxing. Some of the evening entertainment is even quite good. The food is passable, considering how large of a resort this is. But that's where the positives end. Although there are "some" exceptional staff, for the most part they seam uninterested and distracted. All "Ala Carte" meals require reservations, which are hard to get unless you book days in advance. Strangely though, the restaurants are half empty when you get there with the service ranges from average to terrible! Very few servers (or any staff for that matter), look you in the eye, or take the time to greet you. Most of the staff seem like they really don't want to be there. In 10 days/ 30 meals, I found only a handful of servers and hosts that I wouldn't have fired if they worked for me. One can only assume that hard to get staff. It's a shame, as good manners and a friendly smile can make such a huge difference in the guest experience. You can overlook a lot of short cummings if you feel someone is trying his or her best. That is not the impression here. Unusual as it may be, the best service is in the buffet. The day time poolside entertainment is a lot of techno pop beats on a bad sound system. Seldom does the music played fit the general audience. It makes you wonder who they think their clientele is. I would estimate that the average guest was in their 60's(not their 20's as they seem to be playing to). It would be nice if they allowed at least one pool where you could just relax and maybe listen to the birds or wind or the person you're with, and where they didn't feel like they had to fill every hour with "entertainment". But alas, there is not.

It was a really beautiful resort. The grounds were lovely. All the workers were super nice and they always tried to fulfill your request. We stayed at the Aquamarine in April 2024. We were in building 82, which was very conveniently located to the pool. If you like your room to be quiet for afternoon naps then ask for room not on pool side. If you like the action then the pool side is for you. The pool is very high energy in the afternoon. All the pools close at 6. The beach is a bit of a walk or you can jump on the bus. If you want to be closer to the beach then the Amber is possibly a better choice. They also have more upgraded rooms. The bed in our room was a bit too firm for my taste. The rooms were clean and had everything you need. The food at the buffet was great. We ate at an a la carte everynight and they were all very nice. Service is excellent. I would definitely go back to the Bahia Principe Aquamarine, but I think I would rather try Ambar on my next visit. I would like the upgraded room and would like to be closer to the beach

We LIVE this resort and will be back again and again. Great food, great service, awesome shows. The entertainment team goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and included and certainly entertained. We loved the access to all of the a la cartes, the trolley service. The staff are SO friendly.
