Active Advisories
Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

Best Stay in Union Square
irwinm2017 (Honolulu, United States) on Mar 16, 2024
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a conference and it was the best hotel for the price. The amenities and products used were great quality and loved the gym facilities overlooking the city. Check-in was a breeze and was glad they were able to get me situated early in the morning. It's been a while since I've returned back to the hotel and I regret not staying here sooner.
Comfortable Stay with Convenient Location
Francis F on Mar 13, 2024
My stay at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco Union Square was overall quite enjoyable. Upon arrival at around 1:30 pm, I was pleased to find that my room was ready for check-in. The reception staff was courteous and efficient, making the check-in process a breeze. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a particularly noteworthy feature being the electric blinds that could be easily closed with the push of a button. The bathroom was also well-maintained, and I appreciated the pleasant scent of the personal hygiene products provided. However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks that detracted from an otherwise positive experience. Firstly, the motion-activated night light under the nightstand proved to be a bit disruptive during the night, as it would unexpectedly turn on when I shifted in bed, causing unwanted reflections that disturbed my sleep. Additionally, while the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, I was disappointed to find that the TV in the room did not offer Netflix access, with the only option being to use Google Cast from my own device. On the bright side, the location of the hotel is excellent, situated very close to Union Square and conveniently adjacent to the Apple store. There are plenty of dining options and attractions within walking distance, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. Overall, I would recommend the Grand Hyatt San Francisco Union Square to others and would certainly consider staying here again in the future.
