We decided to take a trip during COVID to get away from the states and celebrate an anniversary. Sonesta Ocean Point did not disappoint. Check in was seamless and we were always greeted with a smile. We had a Rooftop Butler Suite with butlers Thaimie, who decorated our room on the fly, and Rajeet. Rajeet kept the drinks flowing and refrigerator stocked! Although the resort was pretty empty, the staff really took care of you. Lorna and Nicole always greets us with a smile at breakfast. Joseph was the man who grabbed our bags, drove us around in the golf cart and got our rental car, always with a smile on his face. The food was pretty good and the grounds were kept very clean. We decided to explore the island and happened upon Dany's Beach Bar at Cupecoy Bay just a mile and half away. If you get a chance to go there, it's worth it. His ribs are the best I have ever had, along with his rum punches. Overall, it was a great getaway and we will be back.

What a memorable experience. My wife and I recently got married at Sonesta Ocean Point. I must say, the staff made our experience one for the ages. We booked an Elopement Package that came with a Private Butler by the name of Dane. Dane made sure we had everything we needed and provided us with top notch service. The Staff at the hotel was very welcoming and engaged with us and our wedding party time and time again. Pauline, the Food and Beverage Manager is a gem who makes sure things are running smoothly behind the scenes. This was our third time traveling to the island so we are very aware of the type of service to expect. Check-in was effortless and the hotel lets you check-in on the app so that you can start your stay immediately, all thats needed is your room key which is also your All Inclusive Wristband. Food and Drinks were amazing. Oxtails, curry goat, pizza, stew beef, swordfish i mean i can go on and on. The best place to be was at the Point Pool where there was live music, plus a bar where staff member Tenvis had the drinks flowing for everyone. All in all, our stay was just amazing in every single way. We were surrounded by our loved ones and are anxious to return to the island maybe for an anniversary somewhere down the road. Kudos to all the staff that made us feel special.

Great restaurants, shame that room service wasn't what was advertised. But great location and fabulous for relaxation. Spa massage was good but trying to service 2 resorts was too much for them they need more people. Pre order breakfast would have worked so much better! Would visit again!

The right amount of relaxation & breathtaking views for a quick getaway!

This past March my fiancé finally felt safe enough to take our first trip in over a year and we're so glad we came here! This was our first time in St. Martin and wow, what a beautiful island. We booked a junior swim up suite from Wed-Sun and it was the perfect amount of time for our stay. The room was really nice and we loved having the ability to swim & relax right outside our door. A few things to note: 1. Sheryl at the pool bar provided amazing service and was such a lovely person to get to know during our stay! I was feeling a little unwell the last day and she was kind enough to keep bringing me gingerale until I felt better. 2. The food here is okay, it's not the best we've ever had. Azul for dinner was my favorite meal of the weekend and my fiancé loved the grill. Other than that, the buffet and room service was good - not great. We did end up eating room service several times throughout our stay just because it was convenient and always arrived promptly. 3. The views are AMAZING. I couldn't get over how beautiful this resort was and we were a big fan of the edge pool. 4. Because of the timing of our vacation, the resort was very quiet during the week so we had no issues getting chairs at pools (some days we were 1 of 2 couples at the edge pool). During the weekend however, we could hear the bar across the water BLASTING music until 4am. We didn't sleep well Friday/Saturday night so just be forewarned if you're in a room facing the ocean. 5. We thought being near the airport would get annoying, but we loved seeing the planes land every day. It was actually really cool and didn't distract us at all. Overall, we would most likely come back to this resort for the views and amazing service. The thing that I'm hesitant the most about again would be the food since I'm a big foodie!

The Sonesta Ocean Point Resort did not disappoint. To all the staff from Sheryl, Keric, Jennel, Anthony, and everyone who made our stay as comfortable as possible. We met some amazing people who helped us celebrate Deb's KICK-ASS Birthday. Sint Maarten is a wonderful place to visit, and everyone was friendly and made us part of their family. From the food to the drinks, and best of all the dancing. And why again do we live in the Northeast?
