Our first time in Cuba did not disappoint. After going over many Hotels and hearing about food issues etc we were referred to this Gem of a Hotel by a good friend. First off the hotel is brand new not even a year old. We stayed in the LEVEL suites and had all the amenities associated with the package. Brand new bedrooms, all state of the art technology, super comfortable beds and very modern finishes. Our personal concierge service was fantastic, big thank you to Sonia and Ernesto for setting up all our activities and dinner reservations, also thank you for the champagne for our wedding anniversary. Level visitors have exclusive breakfast and lunch restaurants by the beach with wonderful meals daily, champagne at breakfast, and fresh lobster always at lunch. We had incredible service with Lazaro, Michel, and Ricardo everyday during our stay. Treated with white glove service throughout our stay, Thank You! The Beach is one of the best in the world and we have been to many beautiful beaches. Long, spacious, clear blue waters make you walk for miles admiring the beauties of nature. The "Beach Staff" were friendly, happy, and always looking to make you happy with every request. Special thank you to Adrian, Sergio, and Yoszley for all their hospitality at the beach while we were there. The restaurants for dinner were all very good, our personal favorites were the Mexican restaurant with Yaimq, Nadia, and Elien hosting us twice in our stay and the Cuban Criotto Restaurant and the great Guillermo's recommendations for dinner which were amazing. In the evening, there are 2 main bars the White Bar and the Red Bar full of people and entertainment nightly. Our favorite was the Red Bar where we enjoyed every evening and met our favorite employee Victor R every evening. Full of knowledge and recommendations of things to do in Varadero as well as providing amazing service. Thank you Victor for your kindness and professionalism. The Internacional is 10min walk to downtown Varadero where you can find cool little bars, restaurants and shopping especially cigars. Super Safe and the people are all warm and friendly. There are very few things we can find wrong with this resort if any, I highly recommend this Hotel to all friends and family. Until the next time!

This new hotel (feb 2019) is large and situated on the best part of Varadero beach. The rooms are spacious and modern,,,very clean. We did have some issues with check in as the room for 2 adults and two children had no proper bedding for the kids and it wasn't resolved till 2 am..several hours after check in. There also seems to be a situation with the bottled water which is scarce... and after the 3rd day, we found it have a bad smell and taste...hmmmmm?... we purchased (same water brand and bottle) at the store under the lobby and that water was fine...hmmmm...They don't have enough restaurants to accommodate such a large hotel ..we managed to get the mexican (so so) and the Japanese again below average. My son ate at the tex mex and claimed that the Filet Mignon was excellent!....There are only two buffets (one is not open at dinner) so lines can be long. The food is average (its Cuba) I was disapponted to find although thy had RAW beef and Pork, there was never any Raw chicken to bring to the grill for a stir fry...buffet is very repetitious and by the third day I found it hard to cope....however the beach and pool make up for any and all grievances....(no one goes to Cuba for the food)...this hotel does not have a specific venue or pro stage for the entertainment...they have two bars )Red and Blue) that have outdoor "decks" attached with a small circular stage but seating is limited so most have to stand and there is very little space for dancing. They also have the entertainers in the lobby area and the pool . The musicians are very accomplished but limited do to the work space. The rooms overlooking the pool/ocean are more cost than the "classique" rooms however if you get the less expensive rooms but on the 4th floor or higher and you get the block of room numbers eg 4134 and higher (eg 4140 or 6140 etc) you will have a very good view of the ocean and pool not to mention the ocean on the opposite side of the peninsula for the lessor price... maid service was excellent but we always leave at least 5 pesos tip and items like candy nylons womens hygene products which is hard to find in Cuba.. be good to the maid! WE had a great stay at a very nice hotel with an excellent beach and pool. Maybe one day Cuba will get their act together and offer better food? The Cuban natives are among the best in the world and this hotel was one of the best we stayed in while in Cuba

very nice hotel, friendly staff. Food is ok, hard to get reservations for all a carte. Good nightly entertainment, liitle slow bar service but fine for the most part. Enjoyed the beach and pool areas when we could get a chair, very busy at times. Over all probably the nicest resort on the strip.
