    This was my second visit/stay to Aruba at this resort. Last visit was in 2014 and while there have been many improvements to the public areas, I still feel the rooms remain somewhat “dated”. We had a partial ocean view room which was nice to have, last visit was a parking lot view and it was nice to chill on our balcony after a day at the beach/pool and view the ocean rather look at parked cars. LOL Beds and bedding were decent. Mini fridge in the room is a plus and my suggestion would be to request a fan on arrival, room a/c does not go below 68F. Casino is terrible! Smokey, musty and we walked out as quick as we walked in..... Pool is nice but don’t expect drink service here....doesn’t happen. But that’s ok, bar is steps away. Bring your own water bottle, they have pitchers of ice water at the bar, self service and it’s free. No need to buy bottled water on the island.....you will learn they have superior quality! Be prepared to get up early and reserve your pool chair, first come first serve and umbrellas are limited. Chikki (sp) rentals on the beach are first come first serve and cost $30/D......believe me YOU WILL NEED SHADE! We did not do the all-inclusive.....DEF far too many eateries on the island to explore to pay for the few places available to eat on the resort. Plus at check-in they give you a 15% discount card that we used every day at the pool bar for both lunch and drinks. Say hi to Eduardo....he’s the bomb! Overall this resort is decent and the people are nice but upscale it is not. So if you are looking for a great location for a reasonable price compared to other places then I recommend otherwise there are other more upscale places that you may prefer.

    This was our first time in Aruba. we chose the Holiday Inn because we trust the brand name. we stayed here for seven nights. The location is perfect, directly on the beach with restaurants and stores across the street. This was our home base and from here , we were able to walk to Eagle Beach one day and Catalina cove another. When you think about tropical beaches, then this is the place. you can't get better then where this hotel is located. The employees are also great. They were very helpful to us the whole week. One day I locked us out of the safe , and the man came within five minutes to unlock it. The women who gave us the couples massage, really did a great job and made us feel really relaxed. When I needed to change rooms the front desk did this , no questions asked and were a great help getting in touch with the airlines, The room was clean and comfortable. the cable had more channels than most and the walk in shower was nice. we ate at some restaurants on site. we loved the Sea Breeze. I would have give this hotel 5 stars except for one thing. DO NOT STAY IN THE SEA TOWER IF YOUR ROOM FACES THE PARKING LOT. They have a disco there and the bass from the speakers penetrates thru the walls. The first few nights we were able to turn the tv or fan higher, but Saturday night, the volume was turned up to eleven. This is why we had to change our room for the last two nights. Some solutions might be to close the club an hour early or not turn up the volume so loud. The main problem is the club is not part of Holiday INN. Even with this , we still had one of our best vacations ever and the hotel was a big part of this.

    Great location, but needs serious updating

    My husband and I just returned from a five night stay. We stayed here because it was recommended to us by friends who stay here at least once a year. We stayed in the Sea Tower, and our room was dated but clean, which is the only reason we did not switch hotels. There are a limited number of chairs around the pools, definitely not enough for the amount of guests. We would get to the pool around 7:00 am every morning, and there were already a lot of towels out claiming chairs. The area around the pool was not cleaned well at all; there were limes, oranges, straws, etc. left there for days. The employees on the property are scarce and when you approach most of them to ask for something, we felt as if we were bothering them. We ate at Corals for the breakfast buffet and at the Oceanside Bar and Grill, which were just okay. Two bright spots are the bartenders, Ed and Domingo - they always made great drinks and provided service with a smile! All in all my take away from this vacation is you get what you pay for.

    My family and I spent 8 nights here and it was very enjoyable. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was probably the friendliest hotel employees we met during our stay. Every single one of them, during our entire stay, greeted us and asked if everything was ok. Every one!! The bellmen and the security personnel were also very nice. However the front desk staff at check in and check out were hardly welcoming. Not a good way to start our stay but the housekeeping staff made up for the front desk personnel. In the towel hut all those gentlemen, except one , was very friendly and helpful when selecting a palapa. There were really only a couple of issues that really bothered us. 1) why do they charge for a palapa when anyone can just walk up and use one and nothing is said to them. One day a lady pulled a chair into the palapa behind us and corn rolled 4 young ladies hair. Another time, 3 different couples from the cruise ship dragged their chairs into a palapa and nothing was said to them. Both of these instances happened in front of the hotel security. Huge waste of my money, especially when I am a long time IHG Rewards member. 2) the wi-fi is terrible. Even with the above concerns this is a great place to stay. It is close to a lot of different restaurants.

    9 days in Aruba at the Holiday Inn - real scoop

    We recently spent 9 days in Aruba at the Holiday Inn. We chose the all inclusive package. The hotel was clean and nice and the location is perfect! The only not so great thing I can say is that the food options for the all inclusive package are lacking. Most of the food is great (don't go to the Coral buffet at dinner). One of the servers at the Holiday Inn, her name is Monique was amazing. We met her a few days into our trip. From that moment on, we went to the Sea Breeze restaurant for lunch every day and sat in her section. She is amazing! Friendly, caring, loving, funny......she loves her job and takes pride in her job. By far, she was the BEST staff member we came in contact with there. Her customer service was 100 on a scale of 1 to 10. If the Holiday Inn had a staff that were all like Monique, all the other hotels would go out of business. We hope to go back and visit Monique again someday soon!
