Fabulous holiday

Y12BLcarolw on Apr 12, 2024

A fabulous hotel in a great location - we chose a sea view room which was wonderful. Mini bar filled every day with soft drinks. Towels changed daily & room kept very clean. Hotel facilities are great which include a cave bar, coffee shop & water sports. It was great the coffee shop opened at 6am due to my jet lag. Great restaurants with a lovely variety which we all enjoyed - Sophia & Sasha (to name just two) were wonderful. A big thank you to Richard & Lisa for making our family holiday celebrating my husband’s retirement & my birthday so special. Hotel due to be refurbished in 2025 & we will definitely be back.

Nice Hotel, but expensive for what was on offer

book_keeper60 (Stourbridge, United Kingdom) on Apr 11, 2024

Nice small hotel, on the expensive side. The first few days were absolutely wonderful with british, Italian and guests from other islands, but then the piece was shattered with the arrival of guests from USA and Canada. Constant moaning and shouting, this was NOT a high end hotel with only one restaurant and occasional buffet at lunch time on the beach and lack of burgers and fries which was not what they expected. A lot of moaning that evenings were mainly A La Carte and you had to book in the morning. This all suited us fine, we found the food to be of a very good standard. There were a lot of issues with drinks running out during our stay and management were not overly quick to rectify this which led to some heated arguments. Our room was at the back by the road which at times was noisy but acceptable, the nightly frogs were more irritating, the room had supposedly been updated but was very basic and the bathroom was of a very low standard. The room was on the ground floor and overlooked the colourful gardens, sitting on the balcony we watched humming birds and butterflies visiting the fragrant flowers. We did have a storm whilst we were there and realised that there is very limited inside areas (except your room) to be in during the heavy downpours. The site is mainly on 3 levels with a waterfall and bathing pool on each level before the beach area, together with a cave bar. Lots of steps so not good for guests with mobility issues. Do book a day trip round the island, well worth it.

Top class resort where everyone smiles

DaleG131 (Bristol, United Kingdom) on Apr 10, 2024

This is truly a great 5 star resort, everything about the place is top notch. The food was varied so never got boring, private beach was clean and powder white sand you can see why celebrities have places on this stretch of coast. The rooms were always kept immaculate by the staff and if you can get an ocean view it's definitely a wise choice especially if you enjoy a sundowner to yourselves.

Totally disappointed!

Pamela O (Southport, United Kingdom) on Apr 08, 2024

Hotel sadly in need of refurb. Birds all over the tables in both restaurants, bird poo on the chairs. Hotel wasn’t clean, staff couldn’t care less. Beach beds broken, dirty sunloungers, we had been assured last year by the Manager, that new beds were on the way. Barman totally ignored us carried on his conversation with a girl collecting glasses. Final straw was birds taking left over food off the tables and eating off the floor alongside our breakfast table. This was probably our 6/7th visit and we won’t be returning.

What a fab place

Having just returned from an amazing trip to Crystal cove I struggle to see why everyone doesn't give this place a 5 star review. It's styled in a traditional way and if you're expecting a huge Marriott with sliding doors and large marble floors then maybe you'll be disappointed. But what you get is a friendly, well appointed all-inclusive. Our apartment was lovely on 2 levels with a kids bed set up downstairs with a sofa, little bar, mini fridge and bathroom with a bath. Upstairs is a huge bed and hugeTV (which we didn't turn on as there was too much to do) and nice bathroom. The beach was a few steps from our room and lovely. Well kept, lots of beds, lots of space, beautiful clear water where you could see the fish and crabs from the shallows. There was reasonable snorkeling from the beach. The 3 pools linked by trickling water were wonderful. Each fairly small but with beds round each one plenty of space. The cave bar was a great novelty with the waterfall pouring over. We never had to wait long and the kids loved the milkshakes. Kids club was super. Open 9 till 5ish with an hour for lunch. Staff were great and knew our kids within 30mins or arriving. There was a different activity each day - lots of craft too. Watersports were free, easy to book. Our 6 year old did banana boating and the rings which she loved. Didn't have time to try the kayaks or sail boats +++ - next time! Food was good. Not as much choice as some all inclusive but what there was, was good quality. Both restaurants vary between al-a-carte and buffet and there's always a kids buffet available so they can eat quickly! There's so much included at this resort. We loved the coffee shop/wine bar where you can get a coffee, glass of wine, crisps, nuts and cake all at the same time and all included. There's also afternoon tea and cocktails and canapés each night - all free! On top of all this the resort has 3 sister resorts all linked by the free water taxi. And 2 of them are included in the all inclusive. We just hooped on the boat and 5 mins later you're at the other resort for a swim and a cocktail. Almost every member of staff were friendly and welcoming. The only bad thing here was having to leave.
