This was our 5th visit and our friends 2nd, the staff at the Savannah are very good from arriving after a long flight, the rum punch hits the spot when you are booking in. The bags took no time at all to be brought up to our room and we're soon settled in. I have sent an email to Danielle who works in reception to pass our thanks to all the staff and have named a few by name, I can't remember everyone's name sorry. We will be returning later in the year. Paul C

Great food and very relaxing, walking distance to Bridgetown. Easy walk to other beaches and loved the Virgin Beach check out. Would recommend this place and hope to be back again in the near future. Staff were very helpful.

We’ve just returned from an amazing weeks stay at the Savannah Beach hotel. After reading some of the reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect but I needn’t have worried as we loved it. It’s not a big faceless glitzy American hotel so if that’s what you are looking for, it may not be for you. But it had a rustic charm, warmth, amazing staff and service. We had a double double pool access room, which was large, looked over the Lazy river pool and the sea. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We had opted for the V Club option which was well worth the extra for the club deck padded loungers and the service on the deck was amazing. We tried all the restaurants and really enjoyed Chopstix and Rachel’s where the food was a la carte and was excellent quality. Neither of us are really buffet fans but it was ok and we found the night time had a better selection than lunchtime. Breakfast was great and had a good selection. At the weekends they did crepes which I would recommend. The location was good and not far too walk to the board walk and down in to Hastings. We also walked to pebble beach for sunrise to see the racehorses swimming in the sea which was well worth the early start to watch. The hotel offered complementary transport to Cocobana beach club and also one night into St Lawrence Gap which we did. There were plenty of buses that stopped right outside the hotel to Bridgetown or down along the South Coast. The beach the hotel went onto was pretty and tree lined. As many reviews said there was quite a bit of coral but if you walk 2 minutes either way it was fine for swimming and we were happy with that. The service and staff at the hotel are one of its biggest assets and were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The only thing to be aware of if mobility is an issue is there are steps around which were fine for us. I would definitely stay at the Savannah again and hope to return later in the year.

Great location on the beach. I saw a turtle swimming just a few meters from me which made my day. Short distance from Bridgetown by bus/taxi. Friendly staff, they helped me celebrate my birthday. Lovely food and rum punch was great.

First night Private taxi...unfriendly driver Staff efficient but not friendly To get to the room was not a good experience. It felt like we were entering a prison cell block. After being offered the remnants of a buffet we settled down to enjoy the entertainment. This was spoiled by some of the guests (a girl especially dancing with her boobs and backside hanging out). Saying that the oldies in front of us couldn't believe their luck and took pictures!! The staff, at first were not as I expected the Caribeans to be. I thought they would be more jovial. They did their job efficiently but no real warmth. However, as the days passed some of the staff appeared much more friendly and caring. It would be unfair to name individuals, but one lady stood out. She ensured the right food options were made available to me, slotted me in for dinner, remembered everyone's name and room number. The food here was delicious. Although I don't eat meat there was plenty of other foods to choose from. Although first impressions were not good, and I have to say I didn't want to stay, by the end I was won over.
