The food and drinks around the pool were wonderful. The pool area is very nice with a great range of drink options available. We had incredible service by the lovely Julio. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. Lovely experience with quick service!

Atelier is super nice and a beautiful resort. The pools, drinks, and beach are top tier. Suyin, Alejandro, Jorge, and Domingo were awesome butlers and helped us the entire time. Everyone was always willing to help with anything and made our brother’s birthday amazing. Amazing service by all! Wonderful and beautiful place to go!

The staff goes above and beyond. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Food is fantastic. Shout outs to outstanding staff members that made our stay terrific … Carlos Herrera, Rafael Vega , Eliaz Mendez, Juan Mendoza, Felipe Chan Morales, Juan Carlos Pina and so many more. We have been to many resorts in the area and this is by far our favorite. We look forward to going back many more times and seeing these fantastic people/friends. Our second Home??

Atelier hotel honest review / stayed Nov 27 - Dec 4th 2023 Overall 7/10 - this was our first trip to an all inclusive resort - we picked it based on food reviews and overall vibe. However, the food did not live up to expectations and the vibe was totally ruined by the crowds of two separate conventions that stayed during our time there. If that crowd wouldn’t have been there I think the vibe would have been much better. Nusun solar power hosted an awards party for their sales people and that company should be absolutely appalled and embarrassed by their salesmen and women, their lack of respect and rude/crude behavior towards other people who spent a lot of money for their “relaxing” trip. Took private transfer to hotel - USA transfers. Worked great! Highly recommend that company. Don’t take the busses that drop off to every hotel on the way! Upon arrival they were very kind and got us checked in quickly and to our room fairly quickly. They have a salesperson meet with you and go over perks etc. we agreed to have the inspira promotion talk the next morning in exchange for massages and hydrotherapy session. We were told it would be 1 1/2 hours. It was almost 3 hrs. Wasn’t happy about that on our first morning there. BUT the couples massage was the best I have ever had!!! And the hydrotherapy was really cool. (Beware of menthol sauna it is a shock to the system!) I would definitely pay for the massage and hydrotherapy again. I would not do the talk for membership again. It is insanely priced for the average person who saves up to take trips every so often. Biggest recommendation BEFORE you book here is to check with the hotel to see if they are having any larger conventions during your stay. This made a huge impact on our trip and made it likely that we won’t return. These drunk boys were playing football in the hotel hallways at 3-4am in the morning. Banging into peoples doors and screaming down the hallways. Three of our nights we barely slept as they were so loud all night. We called and complained and asked someone to keep the hallways cleared but nothing seemed to be done about it. Rooms 8/10 The room was beautiful. We got a double queen ocean view. Beds were comfy enough. Lots of pillows. “Ocean view” is far fetched for many of the rooms. It’s mostly mangroves and if you angle correctly you can see the ocean a ways off. There’s also the nice views of the large hotel across the mangroves. Bathroom was nice and large and they included a lot. We got new towels when asked. The worst part of the room - you can hear EVERYTHING. The people above you. Every time they walk around, to go The restroom and flush the toilet, every time they moved a chair and every-time they open the balcony door. It became very annoying as the week went on. Especially if people were active at night while you were trying to sleep. Food 6/10 Most food was cold, luke warm or room temperature. Lacked flavor - everything was really bland (except bfast at Mercado) Very disappointing seems how this hotel really brags on their food. breakfast at Mercado was the best! So much variety and good things to try. But on busy mornings there were long lines for food. It was very warm/uncomfortable to sit outside. Kopai didn’t have great service. Waited a very long time for everything. Fried fish was terrible (came recommended) that was disappointing. We left that restaurant without anyone noticing. It was really poor service. Room service food was not good - stale and cold and zero flavor. the only thing that was ok was pizza. Takeshi was our favorite, but the last night we went we spent almost 2 hours there. Service was extremely slow (common theme). Poolside food was ok. Burgers/fries and shrimp tacos were the best. Must make reservations everywhere. If not up and ready first thing in AM you might not get what you want. Pool area 7/10 Best part was Pool and surrounding area was always clean and had many hands helping with towels and drinks. Had to play the “claim your seat” game - that was disappointing. Different groups of people were playing their own music so there was 4 different types of music playing and it wasn’t very relaxing. There were two separate conventions being held during our stay which really made an impact on our stay. Especially a younger crowd that was like spring break in the pool yelling and cussing and taking over the whole bar area. And an older crowd of pool salesman that were very drunk And making scenes at the pool and dinners. It was very embarrassing. Definitely didn’t want to be in pool those few days. Beach 9/10 Beach area was by far our favorite. Rafael, Javier, Gilda were so sweet and attentive and kind. The beach was fairly clean of seaweed and water was nice. We had lots of wind the week we were there so it wasn’t really clear/calm but still beautiful. Fish and shrimp tacos were great. Oddly, chips and guacamole were different every time and chips were always hard as rocks and not salty at all. Drinks were good. Double rum Piña colada was the best drink! We spent most of our days here because it was better than the pool. Once again, the conventions brought spring break type crowd and three of our days there these drunk boys took over the beach playing football and playing loud music and just being obnoxious and rude. Really wasn’t the crowd we wanted that’s why we choice this hotel in the first place to avoid this type of scene. Entertainment 6/10 We attended a few of the night time shows. They were entertaining - but nothing amazing. Very small area for viewing like 35 people maybe … so if you’re not there at the entry time you might not get a seat. The silent disco was so fun!! I had never been before and it was by far one of my favorite night time activities. The activities they state during the day time are always booked up. They only allow for about 10-12 people. So, good luck trying to get on list. Same with kayak and bike tours. They only allow so few people it’s really hard to get on list. We were never able to get kayak trip. Sometimes people can sign up the day before if they know the right people maybe? Otherwise you wait morning of to sign up and hope to make it on list. We did one arts and craft thing. It was fun. There were a few people who really made the entertainment fun. We tipped them well! Elesco (sp?) was a really great dancer and really hyped up the crowd on several occasions. A very nice lady during the arts and craft time (maybe her name was sandy?) And Joe was our bike tour guide. We had a blast during that tour. It wasn’t too hard but took effort. We loved climbing the entry way and looking over the hotels and jungle area. Joe was funny and informative. Spa 9/10 We loved the couples massage. It was incredible. The hydrotherapy session was pretty awesome. Be prepared for the menthol sauna. I didn’t think I could sit for 10 minutes. Your eyes and nose burns and it feels hard to breathe but after a few minutes you adjust. But my husband and I never got to see each other and were never lead to the pool area where we could sit together. Many other couples got to do that. And we got left in the hot tub for a really long time like the person leading us to the stations forgot about us. Then we only had a few minutes to finish the rest of the stations. The end sauna with cucumbers and wet cloth was my favorite station. If you’re going to spend money, I’d spend it here.
