Villa Del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa

This is our favorite place to go for vacation! The staff is exceptionally friendly & helpful, the rooms are spacious & clean, & the view is incredible. The location is away from the Hotel Zone, which means it's much quieter, & has a ferry docked outside to take to Isla Mujeres. The beach is beautiful & the sand is manicured often throughout the day. We received exceptional service from Uriel at the Front Desk, Mario from Room Service, & our favorite waitress is Neri at Hiroshi's.

This hotel was fabulous! The room felt like we were at home, washer and dryer, full kitchen, and plenty of space! We had a 2 bedroom suite with hot tub on the balcony. It was truly an amazing property to be on! Beach is private and quiet unless you want to participate in the daily sand volleyball game. We only ate on property and were never disappointed. The steak house, Italian, and Japanese were a huge hit! The staff at the hotel were so helpful and catered to our every need. Carlos at the Elite Pool was so sweet and truly helped make our experience top notch. A personal butler came with our room, Rafael, who did everything he could to make sure we left the resort feeling fabulous! There's not one thing I'd complain about. With Covid still in full force the hotel staff took every precaution to keep us safe although the only time they required masks was when we'd be seated at the restaurants. It was our choice to wear them or not. We'll for sure go back here. It's a little off the beaten path so if you want the craziness of Cancun I wouldn't stay here. But for families, of any ages, or just an adult trip this place is amazing! If you're divers like we are, this place is so close to some amazing dive sites!

This place puts so many to shame! We stayed at a RIU resort in Cabo in November for a wedding and they could really learn from villa del palmar. Place was trash compared to this resort! I could write a book on how awesome this vacation was, but I’ll stick to the highlights of things that we appreciate. If you are a Covid fear-monger, they do a great job at being ‘safe’, lots of common sense stuff not found in the US and none of the communistic ‘orders’ that are baseless and devoid of evidence. 1.) The staff - we upgraded to a 3-bedroom suite, so our view of this may be jaded - but resort-wide staff were awesome! From servers to bartenders, maids, room-service...literally couldn’t ask for more. Name drop time: our concierge Oscar=awesome; our butlers oncito (sp?) & Rafael = awesome; our servers by the private pool Julio and Enrique = fantastic. Literally every staff member acted like they wanted us there - can’t say that about every all-inclusive 2.) Room - Again we upgraded so our view may be a little inflated. The 3-bedroom suite is unbelievable. We went with my in-laws and our two children. The suite is so spacious that everybody had their ‘space’ and provides privacy for all. It is bigger than most 3 bedroom apartments I’ve been in. Also comes with a personal butler, premium alcohol bottles on arrival, fantastic room service, snacks, etc. Wrap around deck was where we spent most of our time and it had a full size hammock and hot tub with ocean views. Beds were super-comfy, and amenities were every thing you expect from a five-star. Room service for breakfast everyday, stocked fridge, great housekeeping, turn-down service with chocolates every night. In-room entertainment is a little limited - but we never really watch tv at these things. Every room and bar was able to get the NFL playoff games and that is all me and my father-in-law cared to watch! 3.) Food & Drink: EVERY restaurant we went to was great. Another thing I can’t say is true of many all-inclusive resorts. Having said that, I would say the Asian restaurant at the front of the resort was the best - phenomenal sushi & sashimi and ‘cooked’ dishes. Plenty of ‘social-distancing’. 4.) Pool and bars: we stayed mainly by the private (heated) pool. Which was essentially a giant infinity pool/hot tub. This was real nice for the couple ‘chilly’ overcast days we had. However the kids pool is also heated and there is a giant ‘common’ hot tub near the main pool. Beach is great, clean raked sand, and has many free activities as well (kayak, paddle boarding, kids blow up play thing, etc). Lots of seaweed about 10-15 yds out, but not overwhelming. Lots of bar choices with, again, great staff. Every family we met there was great about personal space and it always felt as if we had the place to ourselves. 5.) Location - off the beaten path but still only 20-30 minutes from airport. If your one of those people who likes to go to downtown night clubs and other things, this place may not be for you. The only time we went off resort was to go to Isla Mujeres for a day, and this resort provided great location for that and Oscar found all the ferry information we needed. We like resorts that are of the beaten path and the Playa Mujeres peninsula suits us well in that regard. In all. Probably a little pricier than most Cancun resorts - but worth every penny. We had the best family vacation to date. We don’t say this much in our half-dozen trips to Cancun...but WE WILL BE BACK to this resort. We are already asking friends if they want to go with us. The staff was very accommodating, the restaurants were delicious, plenty of pools and hot tubs with a beautiful view. The rooms were clean with all the amenities you’ll need. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a fantastic time. The staff and facilities were 100% top notch. They all welcomed us from the start and continued to make us feel right at home. The restaurants were first class and all the food was delicious.
