Room had a great view. Not alot of crowds this time of year. Felt very safe in resort and in town. The ocean front bar with infinity pool and swim up bar was always having activities like volleyball, excercises, mexican bingo. if your into scuba or snorkeling this is a hub for divers.

Dated resort. Elevators were out of service. Small beach. No hot water. Hot tubs are cold. Watered down drinks and poor selection. The timeshare salesman were relentless and obnoxious. They obviously don’t want visitors, they only want potential timeshare customers. Entertainment programs were a joke.

    Great Resort

My husband and I just returned from a two week vacation at the Grand Park Royal in Cozumel. We have stayed at this resort many times over the last ten years and it really just seems to get better and better. The staff is extremely pleasant and friendly and always remember us. Always offering a greeting whenever they walk by. There was some maintenance going on while we were there but certainly not anything intrusive. If anything we enjoyed watching the painters in the lobby area hanging from ropes to paint the palapa supports. The food was fantastic. From the buffet right through to the a la carte restaurants, everything was great. I love it that you don't have to make reservations for the a la carte restaurants anymore. The food choices are great and even over a two week period you won't be stuck eating the same things over and over. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. I really noticed a big change with the animation team. As my husband and I are older we tend not to join in for many activities and as a result never had any interaction with the animation staff in previous visits. The team at the Park Royal now made sure to introduce themselves to us and Pepe, Cynthia and the rest came and spoke with us every day or at the least came to say hello. The shows are quite enjoyable and the animation team was really good at engaging the audience. My favourite show was the break dancing, simply amazing !!!! We have stayed at several resorts on Cozumel over the years but the Park Royal is by far the best choice for us and we will definately return.

Thanks again to all the wonderful people who made our vacation special!! Wait staff that remembered that I like Mexican coffee for breakfast and after dinner! The nightly saxophonist/flutist who entertained according to his audience’s preference. The garden, maintenance, housekeeping, towel, front desk, and security crews that keep the hotel running smoothly both behind the scenes as well as greeting you with a smile and a buenas dias when you meet!! I can not neglect to mention our favourite crew!! The ‘kids’ that make up the recreational department, Leo, Pepe, David, Ingrid, Cynthia, and Mamo!! ???? Te queremos mucho

We stayed here for a week in February/ March of this year and it was a great time. The kids had a great time swimming, they loved the kids club (Ms. Claudia was the best, sooo good with the kids and my 4 year old is still wearing the friendship bracelet they made together!), and the adults had a great time as well. Make your reservations for the restaurants as soon as you get there because they fill up! Drinks were good, but if you're looking for a buzz, ask for a double. Food was decent - great selection at the buffet. Rooms were clean and in good repair. We were on the top floor... the elevator was down one night, but we could take the service elevator. The “beach” was more of a little cay, which actually worked great for us because the kids didn’t have to compete with bigger waves and it was relatively shallow. Pool side games were fun. Lots of iguanas wandering around the property. The only downside was the walkways were all uneven stone, which made walking for the kids a little tricky at times - they ended up with a few skinned knees. We had such a great time that we will be coming back in a week!
