My wife and I traveled to Acoya Resorts in Curacao the first part of January and couldn't be more happier. First 2 days rained hard so we decided to go to the caves for an excursion which i highly recommend seeing and then did our souvenir shopping and the mall. Third day thru the remaining week was absolutely perfect, beautiful weather in the mid 80's and plenty of sun. Beaches (especially on the west side of the island are a must with picture perfect scenery). We had a studio suite with kitchenette that was big enough to accommodate 5 people if needed. Staff was more than accommodating and very friendly. Only 3 restaurants on the premises but all had great food and great evening entertainment. This not a place to stay if you're looking for a rowdy, party crowd but rather to come and escape the everyday busy lifestyle and completely relax. Very low key and hidden! Renting a car is a must to get around the island. I would definitely come again and will highly recommend!!!

We traveled to Acoya Curacao over the holidays, and in the rush of things, we left without booking a tour in advance. We hoped that once in Curacao, we will find places that offer different tours and activities. We were wrong! If you go there during the New Year, there is not much left for you to pick from if you have not booked in advance. We were, however, lucky to meet Elisabeth from the tour desk at Acoya Curacao Resort. She spent at least one-hour making phone calls to find us something - it seemed that she knew everyone on the island. She was able to find something that suited our interests and negotiated with them on our behalf. We had an amazing trip, and I highly recommend you use her services if you happen to be there.

We booked a bungalow for a bday party. Pool did not work we were told that maintanance will be back on monday.the place was booked for a birthday on a saturday, we were offered another bungalow that we didnot like. Many thanks to Rhuen from maintanance that still made en effort to find someone at 8:00pm to try to help still fix the pool.though frontdesk told us that the pool can be fixed till monday. We really apreciate your effort.Locals must be treated the same way as foreign guests. You really went the extra mile to help thats what service is about. The pool was fixed temporarely and you also helped us with a light for the pool. Many Thanks. Unfortunately the pool didnot work again on sunday. That was very dissapointing. Please check amenities before you deliver a bungalow or room. and if something is broken try to fix it asap. The bungalow is booked with a pool and you expect this to work! or being fixed asap. We expected more of the resort for the money that was paid for a weekend. But we really apreciated the effort of Rhuen!!Keep up the good service. But you have to upgrade the service and amenities of your resort.

Inaccurate photos, strange service, poor location.

I am currently staying at the Acoya and so far, not impressed. We arrived an hour later than our scheduled check in time on account of a delayed flight, and then waited two and a half hours sitting around with our bags to be brought to our one bedroom villa. Our room wasn’t ready until 3.5 hours after we were supposed to check in, which is pretty wild. The pool and restaurant area doesn’t look much like the photos they show, neon lights around the trees and the ‘lake’ is more of a dark swamp. Dinner was served quickly, which was appreciated, and the simple italian meal was satisfying, but the strange scheduling of the restaurants isn’t well explained and staff don’t volunteer much information. The ambiance for dinner was live singers, and the howls of stray dogs and strange bangs that continued into the evening. Also revving engines of vehicles. The villa itself is spacious and relatively nice, the bed is good and sheets were clean and crisp. Couches and chairs are all stained, which isn’t very appealing. AC works well and is quiet. There are security cameras around our private pool at our one bedroom villa, and strobe-like flickering security lights at night so it’s necessary to draw the curtains to not have your sleep interrupted. The location is poor, nothing really to walk to. Combined with the way the pool area under delivers and the lack of eating options, the only decent thing at the Acoya is the rooms. I’m considering moving up my return flight, and I won’t be recommending it to others.

Liz at the tour desk in lobby was fantastic. Very very knowledgable of the island and tours available. She is super friendly and very proud of her island. Stop by for a visit and see what she can offer you to visit this great Dutch island.
