this hotel is nice once you walk in the lobby it does have a great seafood restaurant pricing $$$$ but you paying for seafood.the reason I gave a 3 star is the room wasn't nice but the balcony was small the beds was small also and the set up wasn't comfortable for 3 adults and the bathroom door was not a close door it was a sliding door use for closet and bathroom. the service was good and the breakfast was good my room 9th floor view was nice but the ocean was not clear as Miami Beach . there is a great restaurant in Ft Lauderdale not far from the hotel call CASA BLANCA must go there great food and great service .

Stayed for two nights over a weekend and were given a lovely high floor room with a great view over the pool and beach and also views of the cruise ships coming in and going out. The room was nice with all modern facilities and connections available. The hotel is right on a huge beach but also has a massive and aesthetically nicely designed pool. The pool area was packed when we were there with music playing all day and a young vibe around it. The pool is very nice but could have done without the loud music really. The bar/restaurant by the pool, Sea Level, was packed at pretty much all times when we were there but in fairness the service was good (Shannon was especially helpful), the cocktails great and the food decent. We also had a meal there in the evening where again the food was good with huge portions but it was far too dark outside and lacked atmosphere. Better outside lighting would vastly improve the experience. Disappointed with the cocktail bar inside the hotel especially as they are normally so excellent in a Marriott. Poorly sited, too busy and no relaxed atmosphere whatsoever. Disappointing as there are no bars or restaurants nearby unless you get a taxi. Also the breakfast wasn’t anything like as good as normal for a Marriott. Did the job for us for a couple of nights but I’d have to say was disappointing for a Marriott. Fort Lauderdale hotel prices seem crazy and, like everywhere else, seemingly, it was way overpriced! A special mention for the concierge desk though who were great and many thanks to Nelson and especially Frankie for all their help.

We were here for a business conference, but families were able to come too. Our high level floor room was very quiet at night, though they are redoing some areas of the hotel, so there was drilling during the day. It did not bother us, as we weren't in the room for any length of time during the day. Amenities in the room were a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker including option of tea, iron and board, wifi, couple bottles of water. Nice pool facilities and towels for pool or beach. Turtle nesting in season. They even have a turtle program at certain times, but you need to reserve it. Lots of water activities available. Beach guys were hopping! We only used the beach chairs and umbrella. Didn't have enough time or weather to do the water sports here. During summer, use the beach in the morning to avoid the typical afternoon showers. There are multiple restaurants and a spa at this hotel. Some of us used various ones. A banquet dinner was held here one night, and I'm always impressed with food service that is able to do a sit down service of good food to a large number of people (few hundred). We had beef that was cooked perfectly and served at the right temperature, and tasted great. Everything about the banquet was good. A final lunch was also served for a few hundred. It was a buffet of Italian dishes and also was impressive. Typically, these type lunches are very basic and can be blah, but this food had good variety and fit different dietary needs and tastes. Again, it was all good! Service at all levels was very good.

After a long day of conference sessions and meetings, I walked out onto the beautiful pool deck, then onto the beach. Very grateful that the pool area restrooms have lockers and private shower stalls since I only came for the conference and was not staying at the hotel. The restrooms were clean but the shower stalls and specifically the shower curtains can use a good, deep cleaning. The pool area is a good size and was being maintained by the maintenance crew when I visited. Ample pool chairs and umbrellas made it easy to find a good spot to relax after a long day. Although I brought my own beach towel, there were pool towels available for guests. Thanks Marriott!
