Great location and comfortable facilities
Pauline S (Oxfordshire, United Kingdom) on Mar 10, 2024
This was booked for us by Trailfinders so we didn't really know what it was going to be like or even that it was part of the Hilton chain. It was centrally placed, we had a great view over the harbour, the bed was comfortable and all we needed for our stay was to hand including complimentary coffee and water. Our friends' room was not quite as nice and smaller as the hotel layout is somewhat strange. Nevertheless a good stay and great location.
Excellent location for food and fun

We usually stay at the Homewood Suites and the Hollis is much preferable. We paid $10 more per night for a more central location downtown near the waterfront. We are diamond members and our breakfast in the onsite restaurant was completely covered for our Family of 4. The restaurants was MUCH better than most hotel restaurants. It wouldn't compare favorably to many more well known restaurants in the area, but as an easy option (whether paying or not) it was quite good. a few interesting options and classic breakfast options as well. Besides being central to downtown the exact location is quite good. a high end grocery is right beside the hotel. many excellent restaurants within 2 or 3 blocks. Walk 2 blocks up the hill to Obladee Wine Bar and Restaurant for excellent wine and food. Parking was the only nuisance. Self Parking was advertised but when we got there the only option was Valet. As businesses continue to offload service industry worker wages onto patrons who are expected to tip, this kind of service is becoming more and more unwelcome.
