The Hyatt Centric Waikiki is simply the best place to stay on Oahu. The staff is amazing, and they consistently exceed expectations. I travel all over the world, and this hotel team is the best of the best! I have stayed at the Hyatt Cetric Waikiki on many occasions, and I will continue coming back!

Hotel is clean and rooms are decent. If you are here for business, then this hotel is maybe ok. However, if you are here for vacation... book elsewhere! At the time of this review, there is no onsite dining options whatsoever. You can grab ramen at the front desk if you want, and they provide a microwave in the lobby.... but that's it. But the worst part of the hotel is that there is essentially no pool (only a TINY kids pool (about 1-1.5 ft deep only) and you are not close enough to walk to the beach. For the price, there are dozens of other hotels that offer far superior benefits/amenities. Was incredibly disappointed in this hotel. Will absolutely not stay here again.

I was one of those rare people that had to go to Hawaii for business so I am writing this review with that lens. Overall, I appreciated the hotel's close location to the center of Waikiki, the friendly staff and my room was very clean. Things to note... as a business traveler it is good to know that the hotel has no dining. I kind of wish they had at least a morning coffee service with a light continental breakfast. It would save time as I was on the go to meetings. The rooms have Keurig coffee machines but I don't like using those as I find them unsanitary. On the last day there, I learned there is a Starbuck Reserve attached to the back of the hotel. I wish I knew that upon check in. My room was large with a great view (Room 1101) although the water in the sink was scalding hot and hard to adjust to find a happy medium. Overall, I would return to stay for a business trip.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki. The room was on the smaller side, but it was clean and the staff were great all around. The pool is ankle deep/splash depth, but again clean and a nice spot. Easy walk to the beach and a ton of food options nearby. Our room had a weird window from the beds/sleeping area into the shower--thankfully, there was a shade that could be lowered for privacy. Front desk was able to recommend a clinic for my son who was running a fever--they got him fixed up and our vacation resumed without issue. I would stay here again.

Definitely a less expensive option, albeit with significantly more limited amenities, to it's sister property The Hyatt Regency. Pool is only a splash pool, and isn't any deeper than 3'. Hottub/Spa is nice though.
