Great location, easy walking distance to shops and restaurants/ bars. No resort fee! Nice rooms with tropical furniture, refrigerator, great views. Great bar open at hotel. Don’t miss the authentic wood carver Auhlia selling his family’s carved pieces by the pool.

    Anniversary get away.

We had a wonderful time, we were here 25 years ago. Still beautiful and friendly, very helpful. The room was clean and well kept. The property is gorgeous and the food was good. Mudslides were enjoyed often.

Our stay was comfortable with the usual friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and have amazing views. The pool is clean and refreshing, price is comparable to other resorts in the area. Only thing that would be nice is bigger mini fridges and microwave in room.

We had a problem at check-in but were able to work through it with the staff. Once settled in, we had a wonderful relaxed stay. Even though there was a daily fee for parking, we wanted to have a car to travel north to the Macadamia nut store and to see the north shore. We also drove south to a great place for beginning snorkelers (two-step: plenty of good sized fish in the shallow lagoon). When we didn't want to drive anywhere, we walked to many stores and restaurants that are within one mile of the resort.

The only complaint is the cost of parking charged to my grand daughter for the day. She is handicapped but had left her placard in her vehicle in Hilo. The cost was $56. Pretty outrageous! The renovated rooms in the south tower were really well done!
