Marriott Family Without Marriott Standards
stevetanyaTexas (Memphis, Tennessee) on Mar 24, 2024
Think twice about this property. My wife and I stayed here for 1 week. Half of the visit was business, half was leisure. This hotel recently joined the Marriott family of properties but we found their service, standards and amenities a far cry from Marriott. Our room, a suite, had no amenities for coffee or tea. I called and asked about it and was told this is typical in Las Vegas. Well, it’s not typical with Marriott. I asked if it was possible to at least have a tea pot as I travel with instant coffee. They said yes, no problem. It was only upon checkout did I find out they charged me $42 for the tea pot which included a tip I never signed for. Nobody ever said there was a charge. Just surprise! They charged you for a tea pot. Not even tea or coffee. Just a tea pot and it was $42. Yikes! The “VIP” lounge was a joke, except for the employees working there. Magdalena was super friendly and helpful. Steven was awesome and removed the charge for the tea pot that I was not aware of. He was very professional and nice. He was the best employee I interacted with and was friendly. The lounge though, is a joke compared to Marriott standards. First, they don’t open their doors until 9 am. I called the first morning and was told 7 am but no, they open at 9 am. They have a coffee machine, some waters, cokes and juices in bottles. At breakfast they had these breakfast dumplings and also some pastries. That’s it. Probably the worst VIP lounge I have ever encountered. There is also very limited seating. Our room was serviced very poorly. They skipped us a few times despite requesting service. They did not do a good job of cleaning. On our last day, I found my medicine pills spilled all over the floor. They had knocked over a pill box with my different medications and just walked over it and left it on the floor. They didn’t remove trash or wipe down counters or furniture after we had eaten. The WiFi was horrible. It kept kicking us off. All the time. Our bathtub jets turned on randomly in the middle of the night. One or more lights were not operable. We could hear live music playing until the wee hours of the morning. Their gambling tables have higher minimums. For example, $25 minimum on roulette and minimum of $5 chips inside? Many times I walked by empty tables or with 1 gambler. Lower the minimum and bring back $1 or $2 chips for the inside and maybe have more gamblers. The taiwanese restaurant was fantastic as was the tapas restaurant. Overall, we will never stay here again. We had 2 separate reservatiins but the same room and I was contacted after I checked out the first time and although I replied, I never heard back from them.

All of the staff was very friendly and polite. Facilities were clean and well maintained. The room was extremely comfortable, with a very large bathroom. On-site food was surprisingly good. I look forward to staying there again.
A Wonderful and Luxurious Experience

My partner and I stayed at the Aria after two weeks of camping in the desert, and we couldn’t have been more thankful for the experience here. The check in experience was quick and so pleasant. I wish I’d taken the man’s name that helped, but he was so friendly. The room was stunning, and the control panel to operate everything was a nice touch. The tub and shower were AMAZING and so needed after all our camping. ?? We ate at Catch, as well as Din Tai Fung, and thoroughly enjoyed both meals and the service provided. This was my first Aria stay after many many Vegas trips, but it most certainly won’t be our last.
One of the Best Stays in Vegas Ever

I’ve stayed at Aria a couple of times and this might be my all time favorite hotel. It’s one of the few remaining Las Vegas resorts that truly care about class, service and amenities. Restaurants like Jean Georges and Julian Serrano are excellent dinner options and I also love Salt & Ivy for breakfast. It’s in a prime location on the strip with easy indoor/outdoor access to surrounding hotels and convenient places like Walgreen and CVS. It also has one of the best fitness centers of any hotel I’ve stayed in. I can’t say enough great things about the corner suite I was fortunate to stay in. The views from each room were amazing, especially with the mountains still dusted with snow and the strip at night. Fully automated and even a smart toilet. Overall one of the best stays I’ve ever had in Vegas.
Great Experience

My recent stay 3-day stay during St. Patrick’s Day weekend at the Aria Resort and Casino was quite pleasant. A day before my arrival I got a call from the hotel guest services letting me know my original reservation had been upgraded with to a strip view (nice touch). First let me compliment the entire hotel staff, from checking in/out at guest service, the casino dealers, cleaning staff, VIP service and the casino host treated me very well. There are multiple places to eat, to include fine dining and casual eats, so there is no need to break the budget. The location of the hotel is great also, it was an easy 7-10 minute walk to the T-Mobile arena to take part in PAC -12 tournament games. There is also a CVS right around the corner, which is good to pick up water, snacks, or something you forgot to pack. No need for touching the food or drinks in the room (water cost $24). Even though my room was clean and the bed very comfortable the only noticeable downside is Aria rooms are due for an upgrade, is not even a comparison to the brighter and light colors of Bellagio rooms. But I will definitely be back on my next visit due to the wonderful customer service.
