Our family had a wonderful time at Koloa Landing. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa....absolutely lovely. After a long day of exploring, it was like coming home. Fran, Kiana, and Jay were super helpful at the front desk. Next time we visit Kauai, we are going straight back to the Koloa Landing!

I am surprised there are any negative reviews of this place. This has to rank as one of the finest resorts I have stayed in. This to me was a similar to experiences I have at JW Marriotts overseas. An excellent experience. To start with the rooms are dark. Yes, the curtains actually shut out all the light. For anyone traveling more than a couple of time zones to Hawaii this is nice as you will wake up early the first couple of days and be able to go back to sleep. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. The sleep accommodations were a 10. The layout was great. The kitchen was very spacious and had plenty of seating inside and out on the patio. The washer\dryer in the room was great and convenient. We had a room overlooking the main pool and had a view of the ocean. It was all perfect. Don't worry about the beach being a car ride. You have to get out and explore Kauai and this hotel is the perfect home base for that. Go to Hanalei, Go to Waimea. There are also two shopping centers very convenient to the resort. We will go back in a heartbeat to this resort.

Nice room, much like a clean hotel with small kitchenette and good sized bathroom. Shower was huge and great. The bed comfortable. View was of neighboring parking lot fair ammout of noise from the resort maintenance staff below. The huge pool should have attracted our attention to the fact there would be "many" families w/kids. Quite noisy at most hours, running in/out of restaurant. Food was good though and nice portions. Staff all very friendly

Very misleading! 2 bedroom villa very small! Promised a King bed and Queen, got a Queen & Full instead, and tried to convince me they were King & Queen! Measure please! Also an elite Bonvoy member, no special deal, poor views.

We went to Hawaii for a family wedding in August 2019 in an uncomfortable heat wave with lots of heat and humidity and hardly a breeze. After staying in a disappointing hotel in Princeville, the Hanalei Bay Resort, I was relieved to find the condition of the Koloa Landing Resort. We arrived early before the standard check in time but they managed to get us in by 2:45 pm. The 2 bedroom villa was located on a top floor as I requested (how often do you request something at a hotel and don’t get it?) with a view of the ocean. The villa was in great condition with a beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. The air conditioning was powerful and effective and quiet, which was a necessity in this dreadful heatwave. The swimming pools were very enticing with waterfalls and water slides. Yes, it is not located in the beach but is reportedly walking distance away. If you insist on being located on the beach, then go to the Grand Hyatt. But remember our 2 bedroom villa was cheaper than a one bedroom room at the Grand Hyatt with 2 beds. When we had to leave suddenly due to a family emergency after only one night, the front desk graciously let us out of our reservation. I would stay here again. For picky travelers like me that need more than one bedroom, great condition rooms, and superb air conditioning, this is the place.
