    For a resort at limited covid capacity everything should be a lot better. Resorts from Jamaica to other Mexico locations, I've seen better overall service. I cannot imagine trying to get into a restaurant or pool near full capacity at this place. Aggressive check in trying to upsell everything. Same while booking our ride back to the airport. Had to get up and leave because they kept trying to sell us excursions. Dress code is a joke. Wore "mandatory" pants to locations as instructed only to see people on shorts. Then was turned away for wearing shorts myself. Ate out 3 times, had room service the rest. No ocean Access. Seems like they are pushing for timeshare crap. We will stick with cruising. Oh and we're here for a week with 2 days to go.

    Great to feel normal--guest masks optional. Great resort and staff

    Beautiful resort. Perfectly maintained scenery. Staff was very kind and attentive. Plenty of activities and excursions. Special thank you to Pedro at the bellman who went above and beyond packing my charter fishing tuna for the return home. Elias the server, and Abel the poolside server. We hope to be back soon!

    The secrets staff rocks and the resort is beautiful!!!

    We have a few shout outs to do, but first we want to say we thoroughly enjoyed my friends 30th birthday party in Cabo. It was made so memorable by all of the staff at almost every occasion including water cycling with Lucas and Tabita. She felt so loved and valued for choosing Cabo for her birthday!! Our most heartfelt greeting to the resort was from Eloy who waved us into the oceana bar by the preferred pool and introduced us to our new favorite drink “the Eloy” he offered to take our picture and made us feel like we were family really. He is an amazing person and was always attentive making sure we had a drink. Seek him out and as him for an Eloy!!! His secret ingredient is love. His coworkers Roberto and Ronnie were so kind in helping us get the drinks we wanted as well. Carlos in the preferred bar is also excellent and knew our drinks by the end of the trip we didn’t even have to tell him and he would have it in the works. We spent a lot of time at the pool and looked for Abel everyday. He was so kind and always was checking in on us. We never went empty handed in Cabo! He made sure we had lunch everyday and before our drinks were even gone he was back to see if we needed more. Erik/Ole in the swim up pool is also excellent always making sure we were not empty handed. Leonardo also went out of his way to make sure we go to our wine from the Mexican Independence Day fiesta. He was so kind. From the entertainment staff to the bar staff to every single person we had the best vacation!!! Can’t wait to visit again! The staff at secrets made it worth it!

    Honeymoon Trip - Sept 2020

    This place was everything we dreamed of for our honeymoon, especially with a Covid wedding in the books. I can’t rave enough about how amazing the food was, especially at Portafino and Oceana. Carlos and Miguel at Oceana we’re incredible waiters that were over the top attentive to us. Esther at Portafino was the sweetest and made sure we had all the wine we wanted. The staff in general at this resort was super attentive, respectful, cheerful and always polite. We especially loved Erick at the Manatee Bar, Solomon at the preferred club bar and our absolute favorite staff member was Roberto Vazquez of the entertainment team. Roberto made sure we had seats at the nightly shows and helped us win big at the Mexican Independence Day Fiesta. He is so kind and took great care of us! The resort was super clean, very “Covid friendly” and again the staff was out of this world! The only disappointment was we’re unable to visit the hibachi restaurant, despite numerous efforts to get a reservation. It books up super quickly and the concierge was very vague and unclear about how and when to obtain a reservation, leaving us in the dark. We made multiple attempts at reservations throughout the week with no avail. We will be back to Cabo and we would love to stay here again!!

    Ultimately, they came through.

    We love AM Resorts properties; however, this is our first time to Cabo. We paid outright for Preferred Club (PC) and in this case it was not worth it. No special welcome, we weren’t shown around the property. Nothing. Special occasions noted in the reservation were not acknowledged. The Preferred pool is stunning and the service from Caesar, Juan and Eloy was great! The PC itself was not special. Not sure there was even music playing. Every bartender in the PC seemed put out and not the least bit welcoming. They are not friendly (zero conversation) or knowledgeable as far as cocktails or making suggestions for anything special. It was very disappointing. Almost to the point of making us angry. We had to remind ourselves to be grateful we were able to vacation in this crazy time! The pandemic has altered some services which we understand. I guess the frustration was primarily that we did not receive the upgraded services for which we paid.. Overall our stay was okay. Not what we’ve come to expect and appreciate from many other AM Resorts vacations. Sept 2020 update: At his request, we met with Mr. R. Reyes prior to our departure. He agreed that our experience was not up to par and was sincere in his apology. He is exactly who Secrets needs as the face of their properties. He was helpful and sincere and convinced us to give them another try. We appreciate his effort and will be back. Thank you to all of the personnel who work so hard every day to make guests feel special.
