Worthy for building status with Hyatt and long stays.

Regency Mérida gives very good World of Hyatt status recognition, although i was just explorist when i was here (late february) the benefits were great: - Late check out 2:00 pm (was great because was updated at the app and i didnt have to ask for it. - Free water, as many bottles as you want, they don't count you or make you sign a check about it, as in other Regencies or Place. - Upgraded to club room and get access to club lounge (benefits are in main lobby) -Premium internet that was one of the greatest i have ever experienced in an hotel (if you are here to work is amazing the speed) *Services and staff All the services of this hotel are very good, and the staff is very nice, i want to recognize Joyce that was all the time with a great pre arrival service, Javier the bartender, and Eduardo, also Gerardo was great with the drinks at the club bar, of course i want to recognize Sergio Buelna that all his attentions to details were kindly appreciated. *Check inn Fast but i was surprised that Regency being a Premium Hyatt brand didnt have a bell boy to help me with the suitcase, also no one escorted me to the room and gave me advices of the city or hotel, although they are great at check inn, they recognize your status and treat you great there are some details that must be fixed for a Regency. Appreciated a lot the welcome amenitie at my room, very simple but the chocolates were very good from Papillon. Room: Good view, small but comfortable, the air conditioner is very noisy (must be fixed because is annoying at night) but works very good, nice shower, good quality amenities (although i expected a little bit better, because are the same quality that Hyatt Place offers) the rooms hasgood extra details that makes your stay more comfortable . For example, just under the bed there are some lights that turn on when you leave the bed, and that is great for not turning on the lights, i love these type of details. The cleaning services are very basic, i found that they dont clean very good and are not proactive, don't give you extra towels, or extra amenities, when you call front desk they are super fast and deliver to you whatever you need, but the maid isnt proactive. Food and drinks: - Papillon: LOVED this place where you can get great chocolates, macarron, and bread, the "bolitas de queso" are amazing, coffee is also good, but just surprised that when i asked at night for a decaff coffee, the lady told me it wasnt availble, (and i knew it was available at club bar because my bartender always used decaff coffee for my carajillos) so maybe lack of proactiviness again? Despite that i loved that place, prices are very good, and a wonderful quality of everything. -Pregrina. A good breakfast buffet, just isnt very Mexican authentic and as delicious as other options around the hotel, i left the hotel for breakfast almost every day, but is great it is included for guests with status and the "huevos motuleños" were good, i think everything must be served by staff and i was surprised they allowed you to manipulate the fruit and other items (in other Regencies, zivas, Thompson everyone serves you everything) but nothing to worry about , just don't manipulate food you wont take. - Spasso: Tried for night, and was good, the lasagna was ok, and the best was the special Mojito Spritz and the Carajillo prepared by Javier, very nice! -Lobby bar: Enjoyed from 5-8 everynight with delicious creations of the bartender! Xtabentún, Baileys, Red Label, and others. I think they need to upgrade the brands selections because at first i really was dissapointed because the selection is very poor, and brands arent as great as other Regencies, but with the bartender everything improved, was great creating very good drinks. -Pool: Great pool, with good temp, and Eduardo always very kind seeing that you don't need anything, and providing good drinks, good Gray goose drink and a nice Mezcalita, i loved the service there and very quiet and calm. In conclusion, i think is a great place to stay for a long time (10-15 nights) i only stayed 3 just to try it and visit Mérida, the location is very good, near Paseo de Montejo, i went walking there every day at night or early morning, you have a lot of restaurants and places near to you, and uber is very cheap, although they have some details that they have to work in, the quality of this resort and the service is according to the price, and is very good, also the status recognition is outstanding, i will recommend it to my friends and clients and will be back very soon for 10-15 nights.

Very pleasant experience at the Hyatt in Merida. The location is very central and close to main Paseo. The hotel is very secure and very strict with pandemic safety regulations. The staff was excellent. The rooms were standard, large and comfortable. No complaints with interior. The pool area is large and family friendly. The only complaint is with parking but understandable due to current pandemic situation. I would recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel, location and service. Reliable health safety measures. Very good service. More private than Fiesta Americana. In Paseo Montejo area, nicest area in Merida, at Av Colon and one block from Paseo Montejo. Walking distance to Paseo Montejo (should walk there), and other hotels (Fiesta Americana across street, Holiday Inn next door).
Very well deserved 4 stars rating

We stayed 3 nights here and actually wanted to stay more but had to switch. The room was not our style with its ceramic dark floors. The bedding however was very comfortable. The regency club is not open on the club floo due to covid. Hotel is trying something at the lobby which was a bit poorly compared to other hyatt properties from the world like Bali or UAE. Breakfast buffet selection is huge but there is a strong air of deep fried oil in the air. As Yucatán food is mostly deep fried. So we smelled like a taco afterwards which we didn't like Normally we would have given 3 stars but due to the very kind front office manager who understood our concerns and made all possible happen I give it a well deserved 4 stars rating. 5th star unfortunately not possible. The location is great and you feel safe. The swimming pool is a bit unlucky situated as mostly in the shadow of the hotel building. This hotel is for sure better than the fiesta upfront and more modern. However I saw there is an NH property at paseo 90 with a roof top pool. As I like to go with hyatt I would consider coming back although I like the NH better from its design.
Excellent location and roomy.

Centralized location. Close to everything. ADO station is next door. Everything looked clean. Sanitizer through out the building. Room was big and had a sanitized sign. Fridge in the room was nice. Bed was super comfy! Staff are very professional. You can trust Hyatt Regency level of service. This was my second stay here. This time was too short to use their amenities. They have a bakery inside. Since Mexican bread is my favorite, I was able to buy a whole bag of pan dulce’s. :D. Xmas decoration pics are from the bakery. Forgot to take a pic of the lobby which was decorated so pretty.
