Negril is my husband's fave spot and this resort is my fave resort. We came back mainly because of our butler Tamera. I requested her because of the way she took such good care of us the first time we visited. She did not disappoint. Dewayne was our other butler and he was the bomb as well. Cee Cee in the member's lobby was great and she really looked out for us. Everything was as expected from the food to the beautiful beach. We will definitely be back.

DO NOT COME HERE We have been getting up before 6am to get sun beds! You were lucky if you managed to get beach towels. Gentleman (life guard) I say loosely was running some kind of racket to reserve sun beds and then suggesting he’ll sort us out !! Had to complain about the lack of availability for reserving restaurants. NO fruit meaning no smoothies NO coleslaw to go with very fatty jerk chicken NO yoghurts for breakfast NO smoked salmon for breakfast NO starters NO desserts Overall poor food. LIMITED smiles on the faces of the staff. Was told by the customer services manager that they would move towels off beds if people didn’t come back after an hour. Total fib. They offer solutions but don’t come through with anything. She looked totally mystified when I told her that another member of staff had told a holiday maker that they had ordered 200 sun beds ????

We spent 14 nights at building 8 (adults only). We´ve visited in over 10 different AI resorts in Caribbean in past 10 years (Riu´s, Royaltons, Bahias, Iberostars, El Dorados...). This went to top5. Staff was better than any previous resorts. The room was typical Caribbean resort room. Everything worked well and it was good enough for us. The bed was actually pretty good. We didn´t hear any noise thru the wall from neighbours which was nice. The beach is absolutely fantastic. There were many vendors, but they didn´t bother. I think the security takes care that the tourists can enjoy their beachlife. They are not allowed to come near the sunbeds. We are Exotic travel club members, so we got to use the member beach area. The members get their reserved beach chairs, meaning that you have the same chairs reserved everyday by beach butler. I must warn that when we walked to brekfast on the mornings, most/all of the beach chairs looked reserved on public side. Restaurants were OK. You can actually look from Azul app the menu´s even if you haven´t book your trip. This is not buffet resort like RIU´s are. You use the evening buffet just when you are too lazy for restaurant experience. It slightly bothered us that the quality of portions varied a lot. Sometimes the steak was 5/5 and other day it was 2/5. My wife had Salmon Carpaccio at Italian 3 or 4 times as appetizer and it was always different, but never what´s on menu. Only thing that I would never order again was Pizza. Anyway, we were never hungry and if you don´t like what you have ordered, you can always order new portion. There is no limit. Restaurants have their signature cocktails and on the 2 weeks period we couldn´t get Tropical Spritz from Italian and Japanese Slippers from asian restaurant. Those were just unavailable. Difficult for me to understand. I also don't understand why the waiters can only pour wine one glass at a time. It would make their job easier if they could leave the bottle on the table. The evening entertainment and nighclub was 1/5. If you wanna party everynight, this is not your place. It was fine to us. I understand that this is not huge resort and they can´t have big productions there for few hundred people. The nightclub Nesta was usually dead. If this would be my resort I would switch the places of Nesta and Ackee restaurant locations. The staff was amazing. We wish to thank all. Our beach butler Travis was great. He took great care of us. He booked the restaurants, kept our glasses full... He is a true gentleman. I would also like to give special thanks to our chambermaid Pauline. Our room was always spotles and her positive attitude made us good mood every morning. Thanks to Latoya also. She is in tight spot now that Prestige and Exotic has separated. Would we come again? We would, if we get the Exotic member benefits that we have paid for. Without benefits, we will probably go to other resorts where we can have the member benefits.

This place is so bad now we left this hotel today and checked into another hotel. Our 3rd time at Azul and the service levels are now appalling . Arrived 25 hours late due to flight delay ti be informed our room was not ready and to return to check-in an hour. To be rated a 5* hotel is truly misleading and here are some reasons why We booked swim up adults only room and allocated room in children’s area. Lorna the asst Manager claiming TUI are selling customers incorrect rooms No beach towels at 10am. after an hour hunting, told they had return the following day. No available sun beds on beach. However, beach staff will produce towels and find sun beds, for $20 fee!!! No bacon at breakfast, no plates, no spoons so be prepared to stir coffee etc with a knife. Food is a total disgrace that’s not well presented and minimal choices. The hotel app is not correct to what is served, the app states many choices at restaurants but lucky if there’s 5 choices., No peach for ballini’s, no Corona and no white Jamaican rum, the “there’s none” is endless. Overall, we are not complainers but this hotel has gone so far down hill, our issues were endless and forced us to move to another hotel today. It’s a real shame Management are fully aware of the problems and don’t act to ensure standards, including the corruption over beds/towels is rectified. We are now in our new hotel and its definitely a 5* as advertised

We are at this “resort” at the moment. All the guests we have spoken with are extremely unhappy with the rooms (shabby and grubby), food (lukewarm, tasteless, inadequate eg. no bacon at breakfast, no yoghurt, same dishes apparently heated up and re-served daily), and sun beds (all taken by 6.30 am because there are too few). Both hotel management and TUI rep absolutely useless and have made promises to all the guests who complained, none of which were fulfilled. DO NOT COME HERE!
