Couples vacation, highly recommend resort!

My girlfriend and I decided on a 5-day stay at the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa. It was our first time at the resort and we were not disappointed! The entire staff are genuinely sincere, and will go above and beyond to assist and make sure your stay is worth it. Cleanliness from the room to public areas is EXCEPTIONAL. I enjoyed the beach and pools. Food was good, and there are a variety of drink options to choose from. I really enjoyed the beach. There’s plenty of lounging areas and room to enjoy the water. You also can kayak, paddle board, and have a water sport instructor take you out to deeper waters on the catamaran (enjoyed it so much did it twice!). My only recommendation to the staff is to possibly put a sign up telling guests that they cannot hold the beach huts with a towel. We went down to the beach one morning and another guest screamed at us and accused us of moving her towels and book. She said she woke up early and put her towels and book there to hold her spot so it would be hers for the day. Since there were plenty of other open huts we let her have it (although there were no towels or a book there, the staff may have moved it). There are cabanas that you can rent for the day if you’d like to have a designated spot to come and go as you please but it should be noted that non- rented beach chairs, huts, or egg beds cannot be held for the day. COVID has changed a lot of the way resorts can function and that is apparent but not a bad thing. Upon entering any dining area you are asked to wear a mask until you sit. You are given hand sanitizer immediately. At the buffets, the staff serve you instead of guests grabbing everything which I loved because it limits the amount of ppl touching each surface. Plus it limits food waste. Ppl tend to grab food to fill a plate but having the staff assist definitely limits grabbing more than you can eat. And if it’s not enough you can always go for seconds! When dining at any of the restaurants, I love the concept of scanning the QR code and getting the menu. All of the servers at Waves, Le Bouchon, and Pierside were amazing and accommodating! Big shout outs to: Andrew, Mike, Cebelli - Watersport instructors. They each took their time and assisted us with the water sports. Great to be around, and Andrew is an excellent instructor. Maxine- Bar tender at Crickets Grill. Her shift usually starts around 11 and we’d wait until she was behind the bar to get the drinks. She’s serves up the best mojitos. Kimberly, Odean, Mervin at Orchids. The first day we ate lunch here and Kimberly and Odean served us and they are so nice and welcoming. Even after not making my mind up regarding a drink Odean went to the bar and grabbed one for me no questions asked. There was no way to miss Kimberly, she checked in throughout our time while dining to make sure all needs were met and that we didn’t want for anything. Mervin has the most pleasant attitude. He instructed that guest are not allowed to touch the food and that he will get what we needed and that he did. It was great seeing him some mornings and afternoons. Always a pleasure. Jodi-Ann at the Fiery Pelican Grill below the buffet. The first day we arrived she saw us looking lost and helped us find our way to what we needed. Pleasant attitude and fun to be around. Kevin at the fitness center. Great classes and keeps the gym safe, sanitary and clean. I highly recommend taking Kevin’s core fitness class in the morning and his pool aerobics class. The classes are for anyone who is looking to get fit or stay fit during your stay. He also modifies the workouts for those with back or knee issues. Aston at concierge. If you can, request him to give you a tour as he takes you to your room. Looking forward to visiting the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa again in the future!
An unexpectedly marvelous experience!

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Jewel Grande. The property has a somewhat European feel with its compact layout including tall-ish buildings, outdoor corridors, pools and fountains (very different from the sprawling Hyatt Ziva, which is literally right next door). Even though we did not opt for the "Deluxe," our 5th-floor ocean front junior suite provided breathtaking views of the beach which made us want to spend lots of time on the balcony (thanks to Alchia at the front desk)! We really enjoyed the spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed. While we also enjoyed the nightly entertainment (which required you to get a seat early if you wanted to have a decent view), our side of Tower C was right above where the daytime aqua-fit classes with their loud music, as well as the after parties in the evening. (Tip: for Tower C request a room on the other end if you want quiet.) Speaking of entertainment, Pierside restaurant chef Riccardo's amazing hibachi skills made our evening meal great fun, as well as delicious! But best of all was the service. The staff was very attentive, efficient and friendly. Especially Kemar, Tichell, Uwayne, Anneatta, Paul and Nekeisha -- our thanks to you. We really appreciate your smiling service, as well as your helpful, positive attitude! But we must give a special commendation to General Manager Vishal Vaswani. He was everywhere making sure things were running smoothly and that guests’ needs were attended to. (We were wondering does this man ever sleep?) To be honest, we were apprehensive on our first day at Jewel Grande, having great memories of the next door Hyatt Ziva to compare to. But by the second day our impression began to change, and by the end of our stay we were so happy we chose Jewel Grande. Thank you Vishal, and all the Jewel Grande staff, for making our vacation truly enjoyable and memorable.

We just got home from the Jewel Grande yesterday. It was such a great trip. The staff at the hotel cares so much about making your trip extra special. Every single employee cares about making your trip special. The Jamaican people are wonderful and so caring. We loved it there and can’t wait to come back. Shout outs to Javan, Delondo, and Dwight for all of their entertainment each day. We loved the Michael Jackson show. Thanks everyone. We can’t wait to come back.
Great vacation

Javan and Romario are top notch individuals if you have more of these guy’s working at this resort it will be the reason my family and I come back . They went above and beyond for us so we highly respect this . We had a blast at the resort the rooms are spacious and the place is beautiful ?? like 5 star should be . I have been on 3 visits to other islands from 2020- 2021 and none of them have decent protocols like this resort. I wished they had more food options and larger restaurants but enough was there to keep us happy. Security is tight at the resort we never felt worried. The spa was very good so I recommend anyone to try it . Our best days off the resort was doing tours with Top choice Jamaica tours our main driver Chris took us to Negril and Dunn’s river falls. We also did some off site jerk eating at the local spot not far from the resort the food was ridiculously good . Our drivers were the best we had so use them if you need good transportation from the airport. Show love to these local people they are real easy going and made our stay perfect. Peace and love we will return.

My husband and I spent 4 nights here and it was wonderful, from the time we checked-in to check-out. The staff was AWESOME! So attentive to our needs and wants. The staff alone is a reason to visit this beautiful place. I can't remember everyone's name but Paul was the first person we met, our room wasn't ready at the time we arrived, but he insured that we were taken care of while we waited. Romario Grey, planned our excursions, from pick up to drop off, texted us EVERY morning to check on us and see if there was anything that we needed or wanted to do. Our bartender he wasn't our personal bartender but it felt like it (Oshane), was awesome. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, no worries and wonderful service this is the place to go. And these wonderful people that I mentioned, along with the rest of the staff, will make sure your stay is everything that you think a vacation should be. The staff here makes you feel like you're the most important person there. We have already planned our next stay here.
