Nice place

This is the second visit here.we came about 10 yrs ago and not a lot has changed, apart from a few things. This is probably one of the biggest hotels in Jamaica.the beach from one end to the other takes about half an hour to walk,it's huge.a really nice big sandy Bay at one end with a jerk shack and a couple of pop up bars en route.the waters quite shallow, ideal for kids.at the other end of the bay there's a restaurant and bar.then a short walk to another beach and then another and another.all part of the same hotel. Just behind that is the pool which also is absolutely massive, surrounded by bars and restaurants. There are 2 buffets, one is big and the other one is smaller and new, just opened while we was there.the main buffet is exactly the same as I remember.food was OK very samey, nothing special.there are four a la cartes which you have to book in advance on an app you need to download.these soon fill up as you can imagine because of the amount of people staying here.we spent 2 weeks at the hotel and managed to get in to 3.couldnt get into The knife, which is a steakhouse and was never available.the other 3,italian,japanese and a gourmet a la carte we tried and weren't impressed at all, didn't go back to either.so it was buffet every night. Entertainment was run of the mill really a few singers and dancers.there is a special area with a big stage surrounded by shops but only 1 show a week, jamaican show. The room was nice but we had problems with service.must have rang most days for something, water, towels, drinks in the fridge.staff were great as usual.always a shortage of glasses in the bars.there was a good selection of trips, always expensive. Our tui rep who we met at the welcome meeting was hilarious and very helpful. We really enjoyed the holiday ten years ago but not as good second time round.
Amazing stay!

We had a fantastic time. And facilities are great. Our room was completely renovated and clean. Staff is super kind, professional, and helpful. Location is perfect. Buffets are varied and well-taken care of. Atmosphere is friendly and calm if you wish so. We would definitely repeat!
A fun-filled week in a beautiful location

Our family (parents and kids age 5 and 12) enjoyed a week here, and it was not long enough! We have only positive things to say about this laid back resort. I almost changed my reservation after reading negative reviews here, but I’m glad I didn’t. The price is so reasonable, and the property is everything we needed. We are not fancy people, so an older looking (but clean) room is no problem— especially with a gorgeous balcony view of the pool and sea. There were a couple of things we could have asked about (shower drain and tv cable broke) but we were having fun and not bothered. Beds were comfortable. We didn’t have any electrical issues. The daily housekeeping included fresh linens and restocked fridge. The pool is just like the photos— clean, refreshing, plenty of space to spread out even over the busy spring break time. There are two nice swim-up bars and never a wait to get served. If you haven’t been to an all-inclusive—bring an insulated cup! Pool loungers are comfy and abundant. They have activities like foam party, sports, and aerobics if that’s your thing (me, no! But my son joined in). Daughter loved the kids’ water slide park that was away from the main pool. Let’s not forget the beaches. Traveling with our kids, we wanted a nice beach for sand castles, clear gentle water, shady trees/palapas, and snorkeling. We had all these! Staff works hard to take care of the beach. There are good bars and the delicious jerk hut. What more can you ask for, I do not know. Yes there are a few vendors in the water but they were no bother to us, and the seafood grill boat is very popular. The food in the restaurants was fresh, tasty, and varied. People who fuss about the food … I don’t know why. Guests can choose three a la carte restaurants per week, plus unlimited visits to multiple buffets. Yes, food will taste different in a different country. Try some Jamaican dishes! The food areas were always super clean, and staff were testing the temperature of food. Another thing I read complaints about was the drinks. Yes there are some resorts that offer top shelf American liquor as part of the AI package. This is not that place. Instead, we had fun drinking Ref stripe, mixed drinks, and fun cocktails. They have virgin drinks and juices too, as well as coffee and espresso drinks at the sports bar and lobby bar. Of you are traveling with kids, they have a full array of activities at the kids club 9-5 and some programming in the evenings, like a movie night and a talent show. For teens they have sports and a teen club with games and such. Our kids too advantage of these and enjoyed meeting people their own age. Everything was well organized and the resort always felt safe for kids and adults.

This place! So Clean! Seemed like there was always some one keeping up with the grounds or hallways and spotless rooms! Food was fantastic! Makido hibachi...we met so many Canadians lol. The pool and swim up bars a must for adults...looked like the kids were having fun too! Damitri, Tracey Ann, and Chris really knew how to make you feel welcome! The view of the white sand Beaches...heaven on hearth. Cause if you are traveling and not enjoying people, places, and food...what Cha doing Mon!
