My 13 year old daughter and I just returned from a 2 week stay at this resort. We find a longer stay easier as it gives us time to spend days in the pool and not get exhausted trying to get all the parks done in 7 days. We stayed in Trinidad in a pirate themed room. Trinidad is the furthest village from Port Royale, but we loved it because it is quiet. We easily rode the internal bus to the main pool, dining or the skyliner. The skyliner takes you directly to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You only take buses for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach or Disney Springs. The bus drivers were friendly, as well as all of the staff. We loved the food, and the gift shop. We especially enjoyed the Trinidad pool! We will definitely return again soon!

Awful check in. Rest was fine. Not what I expect from Disney.

This was my second time staying on property at WDW. I went with my two young kids and my in-laws, who are regulars. The beginning of our stay was like a comedy of errors. Our rooms were supposed to be ready at 3 but weren't available until 5. When we arrived, they had a computer glitch and we had to wait 45 minutes in line to determine that the room was indeed actually not available and not just a victim of the computer glitch. Unfortunately, this disrupted our dinner plans and I had to make a few phone calls to get our reservations canceled, but the hotel was (finally) able to assist in cancelling those without the fee. We ate at the market on property instead; afterwards the kids (who'd been traveling all day and had missed their opportunity to nap) were close to losing it, so I decided to take them into a bathroom to change for the pool. After getting lectured by a cast member for opening my suitcase on the floor (what are my other options there?), I managed to get my kids changed for the pool in a bathroom. After that, I tried to leave my luggage at the front desk so I could swim, they must have misunderstood what I was trying to do so they sent me to the valet, where I waited in another line. The valet sent me back to the front desk, where I waited again. They apologized for the misunderstanding (they thought I was trying to get my bags to my room?) and took my luggage. Finally, we got to the pool, only for it to be closed due to a lightning strike right before we got in - that part isn't their fault but it was the "last straw" that caused me to laugh in a way that caused some sidelong glances from other guests while my children cried hysterically. We got back in the valet line and took a shuttle to our room, which was one of the pirate rooms and pretty cute. I complained about the check in via a link sent through an email, and the manager called back pretty promptly and said they'd offer a discount on our first night to compensate for the issues, but I'm not sure if that discount was ever applied? No email or evidence of it. Anyway, the rest of the stay was fine. We liked the skyliner a lot, the on-site restaurant had some challenges with orders, but the food was decent. However, the check in experience was the worst I've ever had, including international travel with language barriers. Bad enough that my Disney-loving in-laws have vowed to never stay on property again. This was probably just due to a confluence of things because I'm SURE it can't be like that all the time.

Would return only when the mask requirements are lifted.

As soon as we arrived at check in time -3pm- we waited 2 hours before a room was available for us! Mind you we had an infant and a toddler as well as a 6year old with us. So for 2 hours we spent time inside and outside the lobby. It was tough on the kids because most of their things were packed like swim suits so we couldn’t take advantage of the pool during the wait time. On top of that the requirements to wear a mask off the pool deck in my opinion is just stupid. I could understand having to wear a mask in the lobby area and dining area to pick up food but everywhere else you go is outside. To have to walk across the way from the lobby to our room over the bridge is quite the walk for small children (so make sure to have strollers) and enforcing that a mask be worn in this Florida weather just made things worse. The staff being on top of you about the mask being over your nose was also a disappointment especially being that it was always addressed when I’m holding my small children and have no free hands to even pull it up. Clearly I didn’t have my mask down maliciously and to be hounded while trying to juggle babies is sad. Definitely not a relaxed vacation and it all was mostly due to these rules. I mean my mother couldn’t even carry more than 3 drinks from the bar to the pool area because of COVID, but they don’t offer you any drink holders? Just dumb rules in my opinion especially when we’ve already determined masks don’t do the trick. Giving this resort benefit of the doubt when the mask requirements are gone because it does have the potential to be a fun and relaxing resort mask free.

Amazing stay. While this hotel is not as “luxurious” as the deluxe villas or hotels it’s a incredible value and a great hotel. Our room was a 2 minute walk to the skyliner (could see the entrance from our window), two pools a very short walk away-one more kid friendly and the other more adult friendly and quiet, good food options, hammocks with beaches,a very nice playground, etc etc. The property, like all Disney properties, is immaculate and exceptionally maintained. Staff were on par with the finest hotels anywhere. Room was nicer and larger than a typical room at a chain hotel and spotless and well maintained. One thing to note about location. It is right on the skyliner which is great. Keep in mind that at Epcot closing there will be a huge line to get on the skyliner. Expect it to take at least 45 minutes to get back to your hotel if your closing down Epcot and then joining the line. This is still better than any other mode of transport back but it’s a much quicker ride if you don’t have the line obviously. Disney does it again as always. Great hotel!

Charming and conveniently located next to Epcot and gondolas. Lovely “campus” with several pools and situated on pond with sandy beaches for a tropical feel. Staff was Disney friendly and the resort was very clean. I would highly recommend for families. Our room was in Martinique number 25, and honestly I would pick that location again. Close to Riviera and gondola as well as main restaurant for breakfast. Buses arrived frequently for parks. Very quick walk to Riviera gondola around pond. Staff at check-in was outstanding. My kids loved this resort and I loved the jogging paths. There is a cute island for younger kids with a play ground and movie screen set up at night. Great spots to sit and watch pond with your morning coffee. We watched a turtle in the water. Disney clean on all the paths and common areas. Pool is a little tired but was fine. I would say it was time to renovate the pool areas. There is a pontoon boat people were fishing from during the day. The online dining was easy to use and the food was actually really good. Larger portions than I anticipated. Would recommend Martinique 25 since we loved watching gondolas. I think this resort due to location is our new go to
