    Hotel price for motel value

Okay, guys, $450 a night? Really? If you’re coming to Palm Springs to relive your spring break glory days (no judgement!) stop reading and go have fun. But (big but) know before you go... Our rooms were grubby, like someone spent a buck ninety eight trying to put a cool vibe on a motel six room. There was no housekeeping service. No clean towels. No making of bed. Literally it was like spending two nights in my old dorm room. You think for that money they should put a bottle of water by your bed? Nope. We knew it was going to be noisy, which was fine, but c’mon guys. This may have been novel and oh so cool a decade and a half ago, but the service and environment were sad and, given the price point, super disappointing.

Disaster - Run down property, injured myself on dangerous fixtures

Currently staying at the hotel for a long stay and it's a complete disaster - please don't waste your money. I feel completely ripped off and very angry about the entire experience. This is my first vacation in a year, It's been a nightmare so far and I was desperate for a break. To begin with I've just been to reception, who could not give a damn after I hurt myself on a faulty latch on my door and was in serious pain. They did not offer to help and I heard them laughing after I left. The latch was broken and exposing wires that cut me after trying to secure my patio door. This was a serious health hazard and unfortunately is going to leave me with medical bills as I have to seek medical attention. The hotel is a joke and the staff are incredibly rude. The room is not hygienic and has not been cleaned, there is dirt down the back of the bed, the patio table was full of food stains from previous guests and the bathroom covered in grime. It's absolutely filthy. Considering we are paying $300 to $500 a night here, it's a joke. Given we are in the midst of the pandemic, no Covid measures are being enforced here. I am uncomfortable spending time by the pool, no distancing measures are being enforced or mask wearing. I would not recommend putting yourself in danger, this hotel needs to get it's act together.

Always love our stay!! And this time with our dogs! Everything is amazing from the food to the ambiance to the crowd. We came for Desert X and it was the perfect hub to view the art. We can't wait to come back.

I stayed here in October 2020 and was pretty disappointed. We had a patio room but what isn’t advertised is that the patios are not private because they’re in front of the guest room and are open at the top which means people walking in the hallway upstairs can look directly into your patio. The is a shade triangle but it only shades half the patio at a time and provides no privacy. The room itself was rather small, the bathroom door was broken, the light switch was going out, and the record player was broken. These are not deal breakers but they are nuisances that add up over time for a room has wasn’t cheap. The pool area wasn’t at all what I expected. The lounge chairs are made of rope and are incredibly uncomfortable. The shade umbrellas are also cemented into the ground so they can’t be moved as needed. The biggest issue I had was the lack of Covid cautions and I was shocked at how crowded the main pool was. There was very little, if any, caution given to social distancing and my partner and I left almost immediately for the smaller pool which was sparsely populated and easier to ensure a safe distance. Seems that even during a pandemic Ace is trying to keep up its reputation as the hipster spot for Coachella hook ups.

We had a great time at Ace Hotel & Swim Club. From the friendly staff in the lobby to the amazing room with an outside fireplace, to the spicy margaritas by the pool, everything was a great experience. I liked the vibe of the room, almost felt like we were glamping in a tent rather than a hotel room, and I highly suggest the bottom floor rooms with the terrace and fireplace. It is a very relaxing place with great food and ambiance, and was centrally located in town. Was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of a major city and soak in some warmer weather with the mountainous back drop and palm trees all around! We will definitely be back.
