    Wonderful Resort with "Grand" Staff

    In short, this resort was wonderful. We have traveled to all inclusive resorts for the past 20 years sometimes twice a year and my husband said this resort had the best food he's every had. So if you are thinking of going here, all I can say is do it. Now for some details: When we arrived, the bellows welcomed us like they knew us for years. Told us just leave our bags and they would sanitize them while we got all checked in. Once we had our temperature checked and we all passed, they showed us to a nice couch where we were served some champagne. This is where we met Salvador (Sal). He sat and chatted with us for a little while then took us to the counter to get our wristbands and room assignments. Sal asked us to meet him in the lobby at 5. I knew this meant Sal was part of the dreaded Star Prestige group. I told my group I knew he was going to try and talk us into buying into the "time share". Enjoy every minute of our time at the resort, we didn't realize we found ourselves in the lobby around 5 and Sal approached us and I immediately told him we were not interested. He understood and gave us all our coupons and was a wonderful, kind, and pleasant man. Even though we didn't buy what he was selling, everytime we saw him, he asked if we were having a good time and if there was anything he could do to make our stay better. Sal, you are a special guy. After getting our rooms, we met our butler Victor and the Sommelier Rolaind. These gentlemen and our other butler, Irmin, were exceptional. These guys would see us throughout the resort and continuously ask what they could do for us. One day we were on our way to breakfast and Victor walked with us asking us how our stay was going and walked and talked with us all the way to breakfast - like we were the only ones he was butler too. We felt very honored. Even when Victor got assigned to another building, if he saw us, he still stopped and talked to us. He really felt more like family than our butler. I sure do miss him, Irmin and Rolaind. Another group I have to give a shout out to is all the golf cart drivers (sorry I didn't get everyone's name buti did get Ricaurdo and Antonino) Last but definitely not least, all those that served us our cocktails during our stay. Johnatan - lobby bar - best Mojitos Gabby at Paraiso Beach Lobby Gabriel at the La Brisa got us drinks even when the bar was closed Luilly at Rhapsody - made the best chocolate martinis I had at the resort. And he makes look as amazing as they taste. And then lastly, all the ladies who brought us drinks while we were in the pool or were sitting poolside. Oh I also have to say the guy who brings around the towels was wonderful. He doesn't just hand you the towel, he puts them on you chair or Bali bed and sets everything up so great. He also kept us informed on the nightly shows. Such service!! Needless to say, I'll in our group highly recommend this resort. The building, views, food and more importantly the staff are truly "GRAND". Thank you Iberostar.

    We had a great time during our vacation at the Grand! We had an ocean front room and were able to upgrade to a villa after our first day at the resort Marco at the front desk was awesome to work with. We love having our own pool so a villa was perfect. We had some difficulty at the Villa with the pool lights and the resort getting our room number changed for restaurants and things like that but it was fixed in a couple of days. Victor and Daniel our butlers did an amazing job at meeting all of our requests. We were a little disappointed with Salvador our concierge ... the pressure to participate in a meeting to learn about Iberostar’s program was more than we could take!!!! The food in all of restaurants was delicious and the service was excellent. Our beach bartenders Miguel and Norberto never let our cocktails get empty! The entertainment team did a great job with the planned events and we found Gabriel from that team very personable and equally as entertaining. I also had a hot stone massage with Angeles and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. Overall, our stay was terrific and we will definitely be back. We did receive $800 in resort coupons the downfall here is that they were specific for certain activities and count not be used as we desired. My recommendation would be allow a guest to spend it as they choose, as I know if I could I would have definitely spent for me to more $$$ at the resort. I did have to pay for 2 beach bags to take home thought maybe staying in a villa they would have been complimentary :|. Lastly, the bell hop team and our Amstar rep made sure transportation was never an issue. Hopefully, we’ll be back in the fall:)

    Best vacay spot in Cancun

    The hotel surpassed our expectations, the staff was incredibly attentive and hospitable, the food at all the restaurants was delicious. I would stay at this hotel again as it couldn’t have been any better.

    Best Resort in Riviera Maya!

    We have stayed at a lot of resorts in Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, and Cancun and this is the best by a lot. The restaurants are phenomenal and the staff is great. We’ll definitely be back. We booked the villa with private pool and it was like the room you see in a movie.

    What wonderful vacation. We love coming back to the Grand, this was our fourth time there and it was fantastic. The food is always great the staff is amazing. We love our prestige member staff Iliana. I can’t say enough good things about how she set everything up for all of us and a few added surprises. Also our beach members concierge Oscar is fantastic as well. Thank you for a wonderful time. See you soon!
