My daughter (18) and I. Perfect week. Some rain but we travel a lot and that happens. I was amazed how their staff is well, very well, behaved, they smile and just seems happy! No moody one! Excellent English on site, its British! Traveling a lot to other all-inclusive sun beach resorts with my daughter (All-inclusive in Jamaica, Cuba, Cancun, Dom.Republic, Bahamas.. ) sometimes men staff in resorts are a pain-in-the-A... towards teen-young adult girls, not at Alexandra. They were real gentlemen. Check-in was fast. We skipped the charter-bus this year and did our own personal travel arrangement through Provo Connection Taxi & Tours. $64usd total for 2, from/to the airport. Quick and professional but I would say that next time, for Turcs & Caicos, I'll take a cab, I felt very safe on TCI. Provo confirms ride back ONLY by phone calls. I had no access to cell data, only wifi email and Provo refused to book the ride back to the airport through email! I had to get the reception. The resort beach (Grace Bay beach), the clear water all is perfect. I will say the beach is better at Alexandra Resort than at BEECHES next door. It is wider with heavy wood chairs and pads, beech staff will happily move the chair for you. Waves were strong, very strong, current were strongly pulling us in, waves crashes strong and end up to the first chair line and brings back everything, your sandals, bags.. anything left next to your beach chair. There are individual shoe cubicles to leave your sandals as you walk by the stairway. This beach might not be the best vacation for young kids, and can be scary for parents. I saw a couple of 2 or 3 years old being pulled by waves with parents running like crazy to grab them. Scary. There are no beech guards. We had only one day of light waves (green flag). Food was ok. Always the same set up in the Main buffet but good omelets made to your taste if you are willing to wait, or lucky and get there no one waiting! Some evenings the Main buffet closes, they do a different set up outside. That night I had a great New York steak grilled perfectly served on mashed potatoes. The Fish Shack, we liked it, food served à la carte. We went twice, outside by the deck near the ocean, there was less kids less crying! There was NO bugs by the way, no mosquitoes!! We didn't, at no time, felt sick or had issues with the food. That is a big big plus when traveling. There is a small snack shack that opens at noon (NewYork time, TCI don't follow time saving) with burgers (veggy burger for vegetarians) good fries and great Cobb /Cesar salads. They have a smoothy bar but beware of peanut allergies, they do peanut butter smoothies in the same mixer than the berry ones, they just rinse with cold water!! Entertainment: Not much. Do not expect anything like ClubMed, or Riu, or Iberostar... after diner there is not much. I've heard there was a disco that shut all musics off at 11PM. Room (4303) was fine away from the noise view on the pool and lots of palm trees. There is a TV with lots of channels, lots of movies. It is so quiet on the resort you can widely open the patio doors at night, pull the screen doors and shut the air off. I have never slept that well in years with the ocean breeze coming through. You wake up to the Neighbor's rooster! They have the best Pina colada, good Tequila sunrise and Mojito. Bars open at 11am. The only thing that is a little bothering is they take no control on beach-pool towels, if you want 2 towels each take them but the issue is with chairs if you travel on holidays. I saw a family of 4 having 4 chairs by the beach and 4 chairs at the pool, 2 kids were always at the pool, the other 2 at the beach. Gym: the air is working great, it was cool to run. We did not take the daily shuttle to 2 other resorts, Blue Heaven and another one. One of them is adults only. I heard good things about the other 2 resorts for short daily visits as customer of Alexandra. In all, we will return but we will go on the other side, Long Bay Beach. The ocean is quieter and it is the Islanders favorite. Apparently the best beaches are at North Caicos, which might be a stretch driving from Providenciales airport. Check-out was fast. Drive back to the airport quick. If all checked-in before arriving to the airport, you go through fast for dropping your bags, then the security line is long but moving fast. You get to a small area with 8 gates with some food places mostly sandwiches & chips. Duty free. Its clean and the food sold was fine with our stomach! One of the best islands we visited.

Just got back from 5 day, 4 night stay in Turks and Caicos at Alexandra Resorts. At a first glance, nice hotel. The island is so beautiful, the hotel is very well located and should provide a nice stay. The room seemed a bit old fashioned, but no problem. Ops, there's a problem: mold on curtains can't allow you to read on the sofa. Also on bed. The sofabed itself does not help to much, seem dirty and very difficult to open / close. But the real deal - or no deal: service on the room. Cleaning didn't show up day one. Called the reception, no one came. Got to the cleaning team cart, catch up some clean towels and it's ok. Day two, my family left for boat daytrip to isles early morning. Came back 2pm, and surprise, no service once more, no clean towels. Looked for the cleaning cart, took some more towels to my kid and called front desk. Cleaning team showed up around 6 pm (?!?) and wad dismissed since me and my wife were taking a nap. Next day, once more, no service on room at end of the day. Called guest services again, reported the situation for Mrs. Phillipa, Gust Services Manager who heard my complains, checked our account and told on the phone hotel would offer us a 50% discount on total amount bill, at that moment around US$3.3K. Offered herself to come to the room and talk to us. She came in 10 minutes, checked out the mold on curtains, called an employee to clean up the room and once more informed to my wife that they would discount our total amount at the stay in 50% as a gesture from the hotel. Half an hour after she left, doorbell came to our room with a B&G Merlot 2018 wine bottle and a card as a gift for the inconvenience. Check out day, front desk, received the bill and for our surprise once more, no discount on total amount AS OFFERED BY HOTEL MANAGEMENT. Asked the hotel representative about, he told us that the discount was applied only on our bill at the local store ( around US$ 300 full price). Asked about the discount offered by Mrs. Phillipa, he knows nothing about. He goes to her and come back: confirmed the 50% on our extras only. Me and wife pop by her desk and she says the same, differently from the telephone and the room and told us that we didn't understand. Just paid to avoid any more problems and asked the boy in front door the email from Mr. Meany - operations director who personally hosted our first impressions on the hotel reception and sent the handwritten card. The boy says he does not have the email, ater that he says he is not allowed to inform to guests (?!??!?!?). Once more, ask for it and he goes inside a room to talk someone to get that. My shuttle is already on door, my family is already waiting inside. Wait for 5min, no one comes back. I just got into the shuttle and head up airport - very annoied with the situation. I didn't request any kind of discout or compensation - just related the rooms / services problems to make them lift up the kind of service provided. But when they offered that twice, on phone and personally in our room, the attitude to regret and avoid that was so poor. Thats it. Plans to come back July simple got crashed. Maybe T&C, certanly not Alexandra Hotel. Installations & price matter, but services and ethics are mandatory.

    Perfect winter getaway!

We stayed here with our family of 4 (kids ages 7 and 9) 1/13 - 1/18 and had a wonderful time! The rooms are spacious, the food/drinks were very good, the service was great and the beach was the most beautiful beach we've ever seen! We particularly loved the fresh smoothie bar daily and dinner at the Fish Deck. We felt the all-inclusive package was well worth the money spent since food/drinks are very expensive in Turks and Caicos. There were also a lot of food options for the kids which was great since one of ours is a picky eater. The pool was nothing special (i.e. no water slides, no ocean view) but the kids loved it nonetheless and there was a pool bar which we enjoyed! There was also a fun entertainment crew that came around the pool area. The kids loved that they could get fresh popped popcorn and snow cones in the pool area as well. We also visited Blue Haven, one of the sister properties, which was also very beautiful but noticeably more windy! With regards to the rooms, I can agree that they were slightly dated but that had no effect on our stay as we came to be outside in the tropical sun! The cleaning crew promptly cleaned our room each day and we had a nice clean, spacious room to come back to each night. If I have one complaint it would be the pillows... the pillows were not comfortable! I'm not sure if they are the same in every room, but our room had square shaped pillows (instead of rectangular). So, that would be my only suggestion for immediate improvement. I would rather have a comfy pillow than an updated room! That said, we absolutely hope to stay here again in the future!

We stayed at the Alexandra for 4 nights and this was not long enough. :( Pros: -Property is aesthetically pleasing and clean. Everywhere you look is clean, including the beach which is maintained by the hotel, Our room was spacey and inviting. -No matter which building you are in, you do not need to spend more than 5 minute walking to anywhere -- restaurants, pool, beach. -The staff is very kind. They not only handle their responsibilities well but they went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way possible. They are resourceful and had an answer to every question we had. My boyfriend left his hat at another resort and they brought it back to us within an hour. We felt very wanted. -We were able to take the shuttle to the other resorts owned by the same company. We especially enjoyed Kitchen218 at the Beach House. -The smoothie bar is a really nice touch and the employees working there make a really yummy smoothie. -The hotel is around 5 minutes away from a cute shopping mall where you can purchase souvenirs and other goodies. -Excursion tour guide for parasailing was great. You can book this excursion and many others through the hotel. Cons: -Nothing. We wished we stayed longer. :(
