Spent two nights here during the holidays We booked the Signature Ofuro Room and it did not disappoint. If you enjoy Japanese soaking tubs with magnificent views, book this room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve experienced while traveling. We ordered breakfast through room service and it arrived hot and on-time. The Lobby lounge and Botanist restaurant both fantastic. We didn’t have enough time to visit the spa, but plan to next time.

    Beautiful & a tad disappointing

I have stayed at a few Fairmont hotels in the past and I have to say, while this hotel was beautiful, the attention to detail was not as grand as at other properties I have stayed at such as Kea Lani and Whistler. We had multiple issues throughout our stay, all of which were rectified, however should never have occurred at a 5* hotel. To start, we had electronic issues in our first room that were unable to be fixed and that were very obviously broken and should have been identified by housekeeping prior to us checking in. We were asked to vacate our room for about an hour by maintenance for the fixes originally but it was later determined that the fixes couldn’t be performed. We were offered a different room of the same category or the opportunity to upgrade for 180$ however the upgraded room wasn’t available until after 5pm as other guests had a late checkout. After some contemplation we decided to upgrade and asked if we too could have a late checkout as check in was delayed. They denied this request as they needed to keep it open in case someone else wanted to book the room in the morning - this made us feel like we weren’t valued as existing guests. We asked if anything could be done to adjust the upgrade price because we would have the room for less than 18 hours and they gave us a $20 reduction. We spent the rest of the day at the Willowstream spa as we had massages booked and this too was a bit disappointing. The facilities were lacking and they did not have a very plentiful selection of toiletries as at other Willow Streams I have visited. The ladies area only had 1 working shower out of 2 and 1 “experience” shower as well as a steam room. Outside we’re a couple hot tubs and a infrared sauna only big enough for 2 people. For the $600 we spend in massages I feel like the spa should have been nicer. We ended up going for dinner and then returned to our upgraded room. The upgraded room was very beautiful and we spent the rest of the evening ordering late night room service. Unfortunately, when we woke up the next morning the in room nespresso coffee machine was not working. I picked up the phone beside the bed to have it replaced and the phone was also not working - again, issues that shouldn’t be occurring in a hotel of this caliber. While our staycation had some bumps, the hotel lobby and restaurants are beautiful with wonderful ambiance and service. We ate at Giovane, the lobby lounge/raw bar, and drank at botanist and all were outstanding and should not be missed.

We adored our stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim! True luxury in the middle of Vancouver. The staff was welcoming and warm. The full breakfast unbelievably delicious and decadent. The bar staff at The Botanist were artisans who created magical elixirs to meet every palate. It is no wonder they have won awards given their concoctions! Rooms were large and, with a view of the water, feel like an oasis in the city. We used the outdoor pool a few times during our stay which was a pleasant reprieve from being walking city tourists or bike riders around Stanley Park. It is important to note the hotel does offer complimentary bikes. A wonderful touch that we appreciated and took advantage of and would highly recommend. Secure the bikes early if possible. Next time we are in Vancouver there is no doubt we will stay at the Fairmont! Quick tip- if you rent a car and want to save a little money versus overnight valet; please know there are several nearby parking garages that are less than a five minute walk away.

I’d recommend spending your “breakfast allowance” at the collocated G cafe with nice coffee and breakfast (better than the in-house). The breakfast in the in-house restaurant was disappointing. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table one day - with two toddlers. Next day, they initially wouldn’t let us in as as last entry is supposedly 10.45 and we arrived right on 10.45. Not what I’d expect from a five start hotel. Service, concierge, room service and bar areas were otherwise excellent.

This hotel simply ranks number one in term of customer service, the attention to details is such that you feel like a king. Thank you to all the personal from Front office, Royal Service, Concierge, Bells, Restaurant..... you were all fantastic. From a design perspective, this hotel is outstanding. The lobby and rooms look very chic moderne. The rooms are very comfortable, the bed is magical, and verb quiet which i love. It provides you a true restful stay. The outside pool is heated at 28 degrees Celsius which our kids enjoyed a lot. The in room dinning experience is very good to the extent that they dress up the table for you instead of just dropping a tray like in any other hotels. The quality of the food is at the level of great restaurant and very creative and sophisticated. The Pacific RIM tartine is delicious as well as the Japanese seafood tower. The hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy long walk along the bay, a quick walk to the best shopping street in Vancouver or even to a set of great restaurants. Our only regret is that we did not have the time to try the Botanist restaurant within the hotel, next time. This hotel has finally reconciled me with the Fairmont brand, going forward it will become my primary choice when looking for a hotel. Thank you.
