The best caribbean experience. Recreation it's great , never got bored, specially at the beach party. Their Coffee stand as one of Favorites, along with the different personalized spaces. Tho te resort is old they are making a Major effort to get to the Client. Totally reccomend Arenas Doradas resort.

Once more on this hotel. This time with my wife only cause we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. As usually the staff made us feel like home. The chambermaid Elizabeth made a beautiful decoration. She said it was a wow effect. She really made our day. Later the entertainers completed the surprised. The announced it by the pool. The dinner at the Italian was amazing. The place was fully renovated.

We visited this cozy place a few days ago, the treatment of the employees is very welcoming and personal, the plus rooms have a nice comfort, the beach is just steps from the rooms and is wonderful, everyone tries to help you in every way possible, we appreciate To the customer service, Mrs. Deisy, who very kindly told us and we were able to make a reservation at an a la carte restaurant, the hotel is very central to visit the center, we liked it very much and we plan to return, this time with more time.

We booked this trip as a couple for 10 days as our second trip to this resort. I will break it down the best I can. Check in/Room Our check in went smoothly but we did have to wait for our room until 5pm upon arrival. Part of the problem here is that they are putting customers who have not booked ROC plus in the plus rooms so when the customers who have paid for plus arrive, they are having to wait sometimes for there rooms. We were transported in the golf cart to our room and the gentleman that drove us ensured that we knew how everything worked in the room. Our safe didn't work when we got there but they sent someone right away to fix it and we were good to go in no time, everything else worked as it should and the cleaning staff were amazing. Staff The staff at the front desk are the best I have seen in Cuba; they are always smiling and very willing to accomodate when they can. We dealt with a personal matter while on site and the management was excellent and did everything they could to help. The pool bar and coffee bar as well as the ROC Plus restaurant has amazing staff. The female that works the lobby bar isn't so pleasant and needs to change her attitude I witness her on several occasions being rude to customers, the staff in the buffet also need attention as they ignore you and won't make eye contact when you first sit down so getting a drink is nearly impossible at times. Food We didn't eat alot on the resort as we enjoy going off resort when we did but when we did the food was normal Cuban food, it was served hot and other then butter I noticed no shortages. The line up for the al a cartes is very long each morning and the Russians have no problem budding in front of you so we didn't have it in us to stand in the line to book al a Cartes so we didn’t get any. The sad part about this is we had people in our building that were not ROC plus (in a ROC plus building) and they constantly were getting slips under there door with prebooking’s. We were there for our second trip in 6 months and on site for 10 days and this never happened to us once. This didn't sit well with me as I paid good money for plus treatment and the people who didn't pay for it where getting reservations delivered to them. Snack bar was great and always had something to eat. Pool Pool is large and was very clean everyday. This pool is in need of some repairs as the tiles are coming off in mass quantity but it was never anything but super clean and has the best bartender at the pool bar. Beach Beach in Varadero is beautiful and this resort is no different. This resort caters to Russians, so they are there is mass numbers, and they are not only rude to the Canadians but also to the staff. It would be nice to see the Canadians greeted with something like the Russians as we get nothing and they get a full show put on, we all pay money to go to this resort and should be all treated the same. We will return but I am hoping that things change a little bit with the ROC plus and the few staff members mentioned above.

thank you to our chambermaid Anismary. although Cuba currently has a reputation of not having everything as advertised, we had everything that we needed. this was my fifth time in Cuba and my spouse's first time so we set our expectations before booking.
