There are much better hotels to stay at in Victoria. This hotel definitely doesn’t live up to the Marriott name. The staff are rude, and very unfriendly to parents and children. The rooms themselves are ok. Location is good.

Not the best experience I have had at the Delta Victoria Had to visit the front desk on two occasions for loud partying & gatherings. On first occasion, my room was overlooking the drop off / valet area Party of 6 people outside the front door of hotel on Friday April 16th, drinking, laughing & swearing just after midnight for about 30 minutes. I finally called front desk about it and front desk staff tried to break up the party in the drop off area but it continued for another ten minutes. Then I visited front desk in person and Male Front desk staff member was extremely rude, thought it was ok to have 6 people not wearing masks to hold a gathering at 12:15 am. His direct quote "they are allowed up to 10 people!" Obviously not aware of what is going on in the world. Spoke to Justin the Manager the next day who didn't really care about my complaint. Offered a breakfast voucher, but wasn't looking for anything, just a quiet room. Poor response coming from this hotel brand. Second instance was 15 military people having a party on my floor, no masks, again past midnight. Again I had to visit front desk in order for this party to be broken up. Front desk staff attended, they asked all 15 people to all return to their rooms. Again, the free breakfast voucher appeared, and again I refused. Bottom line, if you don't care about COVID - 19 and you want to stay in a hotel, visit the Delta Victora Ocean Point Resort. They are happy to have you set up a party, inside or outside.

Used a suite night and got upgraded to the presidential suite. It’s very outdated. Large suite with two bathrooms ( no tubs) just showers. Bedroom upstairs and living room kitchen down. Great views. My main issue was the amount of human long grey/blonde hair all over the couch cushions and couch and living room floor. I never want to see any hair in my room. Did not vacuum and I would expect that they would during covid. We steered clear of the living room. Rest of room was ok. Kitchen chairs were very soiled and had crumbs. I would not expect this in a presidential suite. Breakfast was free as no concierge lounge opened right now. It was really good. We stayed last month in a modern smaller room and it was great. Steer clear of the presidential suite

Stayed here on a recent trip we also stayed at the Marriott Inner Harbour. If you're a Bonvoy member like me and on the fence about which to choose, I'd say hands down the Delta is better! I've heard some people don't like the location because it's across the water from Downtown. Well it's no more than a 15 minute walk to pretty much anywhere Downtown. It's right on the inner harbour and directly on a beautiful waterfront walkway. We had a two queen waterview room and it was absolutely huge! There was a nice seating area right in front of our window with an incredible view of Victoria and the Inner Habour. The bathroom was also large and had a fantastic walk in shower. This property has a large indoor pool, gym and even squash and tennis courts. They also rent electric scooters in the lobby which looked like fun. I've stayed everywhere from the Empress to the Laurel Point Inn but this was my first time at the Delta. It's definitely now my favourite Victoria property.

Beautiful presidential suite as upgrade. Amazing staff. Food from lure for supper as well as breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff in restaurant as well at front desk was amazing. My son was transferred to base here and we were here for 1 night and couldn't have asked for better anything. Walking distance to town, shopping and empress hotel to visit.
