My wife and I chose Sandals Royal Barbados for our honeymoon and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend the butler suite if you can swing it. Our butler staff of Shawn, Benita and Krystal was absolutely fantastic and that particular aspect would get 5/5 stars. They were an all star cast and made sure we were taken care of. They became more like family. If anyone reading this is in upper management they all deserve a big raise because whatever you’re paying them isn’t enough. They are a valuable part of your team. Almost every employee on the resort was friendly and the pools were fantastic. The infinity pool is definitely more of a party atmosphere and the seven seas is more reserved and laid back so choose accordingly. I think anyone who has a bad time here has to put in an effort to do so. The food options were fantastic. Chi restaurant was my wife’s personal favorite while Butch’s was mine. The only reason we wouldn’t give this a 5/5 is the rooms and maid service. The rooms are nice and definitely serve their purpose. Our shower was a bit dirty and the towel rack in was hanging out of the drywall. One day we had to ask 3 times for room service. Each time our butlers went and requested this with the maid staff finally complying after our butlers took a direct approach. Not sure how long we would have been waiting for more towels had we not had our butlers taking care of us. Overall we were satisfied and very much enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend to honeymooners and if you can swing it, definitely go the butler route. We will be going to another sandals in the future and our experience at Royal Barbados set the bar high!

Me and my wife just got back from our stay at your Royal Barbados location, we arrived September 24th and stayed until Oct 3rd. Being our honeymoon we were obviously very excited, we even paid extra to have a swim up suite. When we arrived, our room was not ready and we had to wait 90 minutes for it to become ready, which at the time was not a big deal since we are both patient people. On Thursday night we bounced around from bar to bar, each bar ran out of something we were drinking rather it be Titos Vodka or Pacifico Beer. On Sunday we went to the English pub to watch our NFL team, at 3pm they ran out of Stella’s and by 8pm there was still no Stella’s. We were really surprised to say the least of the lack of service/servers that there was around the pool and beach area. If we wanted a drink, we had to go get it, we have traveled to many countries and this was a first. We felt if you did not have a Butler you were out of luck, in my opinion you should not have to pay extra to have someone bring you drinks. Regardless we were making the most of our stay, but then came Monday. It first started off by us going to lunch at Neptune's, we were the second or third table seated in the restaurant. Then about 10 other tables got seated and in fact a group of 10 got seated after us. All the tables including the 10 got their food before us, we ordered quesadillas by the way a meal that takes 10 minutes to make (also ran out of fries at 11am). We told the hostess what happened as we were leaving since it was clear our food was not coming, not one apology offered. Now we return to our room that was going on day two with no housekeeping. I called at 12:30pm to ask for towels and toilet paper since we were out, we came back to room around 3pm and nothing had changed. We literally had to steal toilet paper from a public bathroom. At this point you can imagine I was not happy, so I took out all the dirty towels, dishes, and trash cans in our room and placed them outside the door, it took a few hours for anyone to even notice or clean up. We travel a lot and never complain, we are two of the most patient people you would ever meet, but the lack of professionalism and customer service shown at this resort was shocking. We talked to many couple who felt the same way, we are not looking for any coupons or discounts. However, the amount we paid which was about 9k, was not worth half of our experience. This was are first and last Sandals experience, I also sent this to Sandals corporate two weeks ago...still no response. My advice is there are a lot of other resorts in the world who would appreciate your business more then this resort.

As newlyweds we were excited to come to this new Sandals resort! We have been to all inclusive before but this was a whole different experience. We decided to get a room that had butler service and WOW! The service by our team (Sasha, Shakeira, & Pierre) is AMAZING! They have coordinated everything for us from the second we walking into the lobby. From grabbing us pool chairs by the pools/beaches, to surprises in our room daily, to making our dinner reservations at night, my husband and I are relaxed beyond belief. For those reading this...GET THE BUTLERS!!! You really can’t go wrong!

I have been to 5 sandals resorts. This was supposed to be the “luxury” experience. The service is very slow here. I was there for an entire week and was served 2 drinks on the beach the entire week. Finding a server was near impossible. The main bar by the main pool was always busy. This resorts connects to another Sandals and guest can use both amenities. The pool in the Royal side was much nicer. With that being said, it was overly crowded and severely under staffed. We arrived in a Saturday and on Sunday morning called club sandals to make our reservations for the week. The French restaurant was booked for the entire week and we were unable to dine there. My husband was really looking forward to that restaurant in particular. So that was disappointing. Most of the restaurants for dinner were on the regular Sandals Barbados resort so it wasn’t convenient. Upon check out, our shuttle was 50 minutes late. The entire shuttle almost missed the 2 flights (about 12 guests). They also left a couple at the resort. Overall, I was disappointed. It was very beautiful but I would recommend Sandals Antigua or Grande St. Lucia (take the helicopter to the resort if you do St. Lucia). The service is on point there and the customer service is fabulous.

Me and my wife just got back from royal sandals Barbados and we have been on a lot of holidays and round the carribean but this resort is spectacular anyone moaning about this resort are silly sausages and don’t know what a great holiday is. Anyway we were in a room with a bathtub on the balcony our mini bar was topped up everyday including rum wine etc.the food was delicious and the staff were all lovely people who coudnt do enough for you there’s plenty of activities if you like that and there’s 6 pools to choose from and one on the roof which had a beautiful view of the sea.i would recommend this place to everyone it’s the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at and were going back again someday.
