Close to Excellent but not quite!

Although I loved everything about this resort, my in room refrigerator was not working when I arrived and on day 2 I came back to my room to a flooded bathroom (AC issue in the ceiling). Upon letting them know, I had a replacement fridge within 30 minutes (still did not work so I found that the breaker had been tripped and turned it on). Heard the fridge start up. I had mentioned this to the maintenance man in english so it must not have been clear and he did not check. Also upon 30 minutes of my flood complaint, a different maintenance person showed up to fix the issue and I was back in business. The room was a decent size and comfortable and had a great view! The property was amazing with 3 beaches to use, snorkeling on site (we had our own coral reef). The beverages were great and the food was even better! We enjoyed several onsite restaurants as well. I loved it and would come back in a heart beat!!!

This resort is very authentic Mexican. The food was great.. The selection of drinks was excellent. Lots of walking and stairs. But the shuttle service was very quick. It is very hot in April. If we come again would travel in January or February. We had a great time. Hector was our private driver for our 4.5 hour tour. He was amazing! We will definitely be back.

Overall a wonderful visit

Rooms were comfortable and food at the buffet was good. Coral reef at main beach makes this place stand out from the rest. A la cart restaurant Solarium was not good. Steak was like shoe leather. If you have mobility issues, this may not be the place for you. Tons of stairs! Buffet was overall pretty good. And we had no issues finding chairs on the beach, as long as you went in the morning. Overall a great experience and I would return.

Brisas is best

Las Brisas Huatulco is a beautiful resort: the setting is unmatched (stellar views, perfect beaches for relaxation or fun, consistently lovely weather). There's even a small reef- bring your own snorkels. The people are their greatest asset. From meticulous housekeeping, friendly shuttle drivers (there are a lot of stairs!), bar service, to kitchen and wait staff who really care. As a recently diagnosed celiac, I was worried that I'd only be eating rice for our 10-day stay. But there were loads of gluten-free choices, delicious and well- thought- out. If a staff member didn't know if something was gluten free, they'd ask a knowledgeable colleague, and I'd get a quick tour of the choices in the buffet lineup that were suitable. There was always a special gluten-free choice: GF empanadas! Or almond cake! or a GF pasta dish! Highly recommend this resort. Oh, and the beds are comfortable, too!

Good experience

SylviaMilton (Milton, Canada) on Apr 18, 2024

Bought this vacation on sale and it was worth the money we paid. The food was good. Lots of variety. Very clean resort. Spacious and very clean room. Not much to do there. We did 6 days and it was more than enough. Entertainment was ok. Visited nearby city, not very interesting. Resort is located on a mountain therefore LOTS of stairs. We had no issues with this and never used any vehicles provided by the resort but it’s good to be aware of it before visiting. 3 beaches. All nice. We went during not a busy season so we always found available beach chairs on any of the 3 beaches however, if you go during a busy session it will definitely not be enough seats for people. Most of the guests at the resort were locals, very nice people, kept to themselves. Wish they had more latino music playing as most was a hard rock music.
