The proprty is understaffed and for a special event like a wediing with 100+ attending, there was nobody available for assistance or questions regarding the elderly or handicap access to the venue. They have no elevators or ramps to get from the main property to the outdoor wedding area. We had golf carts running back and forth with some very rude golfers yelling out silly and disrespectful comments. Absolutely no courtesy staff to facilite or direct the transfer of guests to reception area. Lots of potential at this hotel due to the lake and mountain ambiance, but far from where it should be.

We were recommended by our friend who's a local to stay at the Westin Lake. The purpose of our visit wasn't to enjoy The Strip but to visit friends and be primarily "off-strip". [Full disclosure: We received a discounted rate. If I had to pay a full rate, I believe I would have been a bit less forgiving in rating the property]. The front desk, bell service and wait staff were very attentive. The public spaces are beautiful. Our son enjoyed the pool area and slide. There is a good size enclosed playground in the pool area. We elected for a room with a patio (1020). While not having a full view of lake it did have a partial view and you could overlook the gazebo area. We were able to see the rehearsal of a wedding couple. How romantic. The room experience was alright but didn't live up to expectations that we anticipated based on the rest of the property. Housekeeping took our towels but forgot to leave replacement towels. The property is pet-friendly. So be aware that you may hear random pet noises/odors throughout your stay. We would consider returning for a future visit to Las Vegas.

Simple one night visit. My wife had been there before with my daughter and her dance squad. Very nice amenities. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was a bargain so we didnt expect views and didnt get any. Our room as at the end of the hall far from the elevators and further still from the ice machine. If it matters to you, ask about that before accepting your room. We didnt dine there but the restaurants both appeared to have nice ambiance. Just outside and behind the main lobby area is a nice outdoor sitting area with nice fire pits. This is not a complaint at all; the area was beautiful, but if your interest in seeing stars under the dessert night sky, the it fires make viewing the stars. impossible.

    Incompetent front desk

First the good-wait staff and bell desk have been great. Property is beautiful. Now the rest: 1) At check in they claimed to not be able to find the reservations. I made the res through the Bonvoy site, so they were under the correct name. How do you “lose” a reservation?? Had to fire up the laptop and pull up all the numbers, Lo and behold it was there. How does this happen?? 2) Was told that as a Marriott lifetime titanium level, breakfast was included. It’s on the bill so I called to get it adjusted, now they claim to know nothing about it. 3) Resort fee is charged at different rates across three rooms. Tried to get it adjusted, have been given multiple stories and none make sense. Desk staff claims to not have the power to do anything about the charges. 4) I’m in a suite and it’s missing standard amenities. There is a bar but no drinking glasses. One trash can to cover a bedroom, living area, two bathrooms. It’s a bit odd. I stay about 75-100 nights a year in a hotel. I’ve never seen a front desk be this incompetent. When I called the front desk to resolve. They just talked in circles. Opened up a ticket with Bonvoy, that will take 3 days to address. Who has the time and energy to mess with this stuff on vacation??

    Just fair

Don't be fooled by the pictures. The rooms are dated (circa 1990.) On my first day I got back to my room at 7 pm only to find that housekeeping had not been there. They denied my request for a late check out claiming that they were fully booked.
