    Nice hotel on the beach

We ended upgrading to a room on the Oceanside, beautiful sunsets and worth in for the ocean breeze. My only complaint is their pool chairs were so uncomfortable! Bar service can be slow, but that’s the way it is most restaurants. Food was average and the breakfast bar had plenty of choices. Great for families.

    Not so impressed this time

No hot water, intermittent internet, not as clean room as usual and room looking a bit tired. Slightly disappointed from a hotel I usually love. Otherwise the usual appealing details: friendly staff, unbeatable location, great breakfast and coffee. Mixed bag this time but it was Easter week and therefore pretty packed, so maybe they can be forgiven.

Family of four, two nights, standard room

We just wrapped up a two night stay in a standard room at the Diria. This hotel is fantastic! Super family friendly. The grounds are immaculate, the staff is abundant and attentive, the beach is clean, and the location is great! With two little ones we took advantage of the two beachside pools as well as the larger family pool across the street. While having to cross a street to get to the other half of the resort sounds awkward, it wasnt at all. Included breakfasts were generous and very good. Food and beverage costs otherwise were very reasonable. A late checkout request was also accommodated, for a small fee. The only part that was a bit off during our stay was our room. We booked a standard room and to put it simply, it wasn't what you'd expect from as standard at a 4-star hotel. It was a motel style room (102-118 was the row of rooms we stayed within), which was fine; we've stayed at other nice hotels with motel style accommodations (i.e. Hershey Lodge) that were charming and up to the standard of the hotel. This room was lacking. The rooms were dark and while generally quiet, you could easily hear other guests come and go as their doors closed and they walked by. On our first day, there was an odor of sewage in the room. My parents were staying a few doors down and they too noticed the odor. Luckily, this passed after a couple of hours and did not come back. If having a nice room appeals to you, I'd certainly encourage you to look at other room options within the Diria. Frankly, the standard rooms should be rebranded as efficiencies. So, the hotel itself was every bit of four stars while I'd give the room two stars considering they were at a four star hotel. Splitting the difference here at three stars.

    Family Holiday

Wow! We were blown away by the beauty of this place! Simply stunning! The family pool is just the most amazing pool I’ve ever seen. Look out for the resident friendly free ranging Iguana you can feed chunks of pineapple to! Our pool facing first floor family room was clean, tidy with plenty of towels and toiletries. The breakfast buffet had a massive selection and catered for everyone’s needs. Just a short walk down a path and you were on the beach and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Be careful though, the breeze can hide how hot it is! We didn’t eat in the hotel as there are loads of restaurants of differing varieties to eat from. Would highly recommend this hotel for both families and couples as they have an Adults only pool and accommodation area too. 10/10. ??????

    Best sunsets and clean.

The beach in the evenings had the most beautiful sunsets! I also liked walking on the clean sand. Every night it was Cleaned. Enjoyed the massage offered on the beach by the locals, and the unique eatery right on the water.
